    Gordon Milne

Gordon Milne got us (LCFC) promoted to the top flight in 1983, he then kept us there on a limited budget. He upset some of the supporters when he swapped Jim Melrose for Tommy English (tbh neither of whom were particularly good). some fans demanded a change and they got their wish in 1986 when...

I would have thought everyone in the away end would be in sky blue?

    Great article - Mowbray

The King Power stadium is approx. 20 minutes walk (2 miles) from the centre point of Leicester (Clock Tower). Traffic on match days in the immediate vicinity of the stadium can be a nightmare but I wouldn't say that it is detrimental to traffic in the city in general. As a lot of people can...

"Smaller" clubs now bigger than Coventry City.

    Crowd on Monday

Surely everyone pays £10, not just the extra 3-4K? So total gate receipts would probably be down. But I agree with the general point, cheaper price promotions are good to entice people to the game; especially 'kids for a quid' type offers. Get the kid hooked and you have a fan (income stream)...

    Depressing Stat

you obviously know more about your club's history than me, but I would have thought your European campaign (European cup winners cup I assume) would have been in 1987/88?

    Leicesters stadium

I can understand peoples 'anger' at Leicester 'getting away' with no points deduction, but that was the rule at the time. Also bear in mind, Leicester finished 12 points ahead of 3rd placed Sheffield Utd

    Stop the split!

Some people can have an allegiance to a particular football club, but also be interested in football in general without getting caught up in petty local rivalries and the associated blinkered views. As I said, I am interested in what is happening at your club, as it could easily happen at many...

    Stop the split!

OK, at least that is a fair and balanced reply, as you may or may not have guessed I view this forum as an outsider, so I have no particular allegiance to either side
