Not a criticism but shows have laughable the situation has got, the biggest fans forum is on tenterhooks because the Club's CEO has agreed to have a private phone call with a fan.
The guy is a self-publicist, one of three personalities who have used this saga to promote their own profile, the other two being Les Reid and Nikki Sinclaire.
Have to agree that the Telegraph seem to be avoiding some of the current issues and not following up key aspects of the story and fans feelings:
1) The eight week stadium target was missed, last week the extended four week announcement timescale was missed - not followed up or mentioned. SISU...
I notice it because it's reported in the Telegraph, I would hope that there will be a follow up story to once again highlight that deadlines are being missed and the whole reason for the Sixfields move just isn't moving forwards on any visible level.
On 17th September Les Reid's article in the Telegraph focused around the 'eight-week target' being missed (http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-miss-eight-week-target-6039709)
The line from CBRE was:
A spokesman for CBRE said: “We are continuing to work closely...
I'm really frustrated by the constant chirping about what ACL (and by extension CCC) 'should do'. Some fundamental points:
1) The have a responsibility to the council tax payers and electorate of Coventry, not just Coventry City supporters.
2) However poorly communicated they clearly moved...
Agreed, but introducing a profile-hungry local businessman into the mix hardly improves things. The Telegraph and Les Reid appear desperate to find a third angle to the story when it really doesn't exist since the Haskell bid failed. Tiresome to dress this man's opinions up as 'developments'.
I just don't see any value or benefit in giving Byng any more airtime, clearly a fantasist who's decided to get involved to try and raise his profile. If you were a wealthy Chinese businessman would you want someone like Michael Byng acting for your interests or would you examine a deal in a...
The news that they still haven't filed accounts returns me to my point of last week. Even if you leave aside the previous machinations, personalities and conflicts of this dispute and even if you completely forget Sisu's ownership record both on and off the pitch the fundamental question is...
I'll speak for myself, I want to force our current owners to bring the club back to the Ricoh under a fair rental agreement (which sees them get much more revenue than playing at Sixfields) and then either work towards a situation where they can be trusted to take full or part ownership of the...
A response like this does frustrate me. I know there's huge debate around the value of the Ricoh and clearly its potential is much much greater than ACL have come close to in terms of their operation, but the pleas that SISU should be allowed to own the Ricoh seem to stem from passion for this...
