Really? We've lost one bench player and added three defenders. Defence being our weakest area last season - I don't see how that isn't stronger? We've also got a more experienced squad who have played together for a while. I'm not saying we are miles better, but surely we're stronger than we were?

Not sure we've had any official update have we? But I would imagine he is a little behind the others having not really had a full preseason. For that reason I'd be surprised to see him start (but happy if he does!)

I think this is spot on tbh. That said, I'm not sure the squad has been together long enough to go "stale" yet. We could definitely do with a couple of extras, and with that you'd hope to address the issues you raise. There are a couple of players we would like to move on to allow one or two...
