Unfortunately Hull have been 4 goals worse. They really looked like a poor L2 side. No 27 for Hull was beyond awful. Not that any covered themselves in glory. Just want them to crock a couple of Boro players now!
Hull have been beyond woeful. Haven't got a forward with any pace, don't press, so Boro's defenders are having a cigar at the back, they've got that much time on the ball. Boro quicker in the middle and up front. Could easily win this by 4 imo.
Agreed. Their whole team was lethargic that day. I do think tthe readon why there is such a disparity between their home and away form, is that they get away with outright aggression at their place, whereas refs penalise them more away. That coupled with the 'home crowd' effect.
I can't stand the little sh*t, but he works his nuts off every game ( particularly at St Andrews/Knightshrad/whatever) One of those who you want in your side, but hate as an opponent. Effort over skill, though.
A lot of chances we concede ( see Charlton) come from MVE being so high up the pitch, and getting caught on the break. Wouldn't happen if he sat back, but then you lose his attacking threat.
Yep - players with 'established' PL teams won't jump ship, if they have lucrative contracts. We'll have to sign players with a 'wages drop' clause if we're relegated. Probably going to have to raid Europe, where wages are lower ( like Sunderland have). Maintaining a strong feelgood factor will...
