I thought Mason Clarke was really poor. He had so much of the ball and did so little with it. Staggering how poor his crossing is for a winger and his need to do an extra step over once he’s already beaten his man does my head in. Sakamoto also didn’t have a great game which really hammered home...
Don’t think Kitching has been at fault for any goals yet (maybe shouldn’t have given away some of those silly free kicks) but there are some moments he’s gotten away with where you just think ‘what the fuck was he doing?’. Hopefully Woolfenden will come in and calm the whole back line down.
Performances have been better than the results so far I would say. Need to figure out the defence though as both Thomas and Kitching are prone to insane moments of brainlessness.
Slightly odd that Kitching has been the captain for the first 4 games while Sheaf was still at the club only for it to be switched to Grimes once the position was officially ‘available’ but the right decision either way.
