    Sheaf

Anyone else old enough to remember a few distraught fans holding up pieces of paper when Steve Hunt was rumoured to be leaving us in the early to mid 80s , with “please stay” and “Steve don’t go” scribbled on them !

    NEW SPONSOR

Back in the late 90s used to work on the taxis , and often picked Hoffman up en route from his home or Barclays to the station. The guy was City mad. All he wanted to talk about was City. The guy worshipped the club

Big Oggy would have put his face there We were in block 30 and both the back pass and the challenge looked weak

Be a brave journalist who refers to that game as a “5 goal thriller” watching it you wouldn’t have thought there was anything at stake for either side Could easily have been a 0-0 Shocking game Don’t think either side deserved it

No idea who votes Hull worst city in UK !? Clearly never been there. Almost like an urban myth. The town centre puts ours to shame, and it’s not even that special. I’d argue that there are far more parts of Hull that are easy on the eye and with better housing stock than our fair city. And then...

Wouldn’t be too many on here who witnessed this piece of magic against Hull Wasn’t too many on here that were at the KC that night Certainly didn’t need points to get a ticket ! I’d say maybe 350 of us maximum

    Anyone see

Amongst the muppets yesterday , I clocked 3 lads behind me, who’d clearly been on the marching powder all morning, getting off after the 3rd United goal. Maybe the drugs do work ? ( even if only 5% pure ) as that wasn’t the best idea in hindsight Only noticed them due to the constant up and...

Bring a Sky Blue Scarf to Wembley

    United v Cov Predictions

When we used to play the big teams back in the 70s 80s and 90s, was the gulf in talent between the teams, really any bigger ? I know we are a league below, but is the difference player for player much different ? If you look at the City teams out against the likes of United, Liverpool, Spurs...

Still remember the desperate lost look and scramble on Seaman’s face that night when Hadji finessed a curling shot into the far corner of the net in front of the East Stand. What a night that was !

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

You’re right ! The 2-2 must have been the year before I remembered us getting hammered in the replay, couldn’t remember the score. Someone mentioned the scrum to get into the ground that day. I just remembered wishing every game had such an atmosphere. 70s probably my favourite memorable period...

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

2-2 One of my favourite Childhood football memories I remembered drunk long haired Geordies celebrating all over, upstairs in the West Stand near me and my Dad. I was in awe of the level of support

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

I had the pleasure of being bricked by Leeds fans as a 10 year old child, at the bottom of Catherine street. We were about 20 yards from the trouble . So either the dick who threw it was a very poor shot, or he was aiming at a bloke with 2 small children on the opposite side of the street. Still...

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

Any others who grew up in the 70s will know that Leeds fans outnumbered us at school, usually by about 4 to 1 . And there will be more than a few turncoats amongst our ranks, who pretended they were Peter Lorimer every time they took a fierce shot, or Billy Bremner every time they won a tackle ...
