Disagree with this, sign whatever it takes to get over the line.
If you have a few players you need to move on after the promotion then so be it. I'm sure it's no problem to shift a player who has just achieved a promotion.
Once you have £200m in the back pocket then you can build a PL squad.
Id be very happy with Rak-Sakyi, Pereira and Nielsen.
The first is on loan and doesn't look in Place's plans, the second two are at clubs whose seasons are over so would be the perfect time to raid.
Rak-Sakyi solves our lack of bodies out wide, Pereira can play in the 8 or the 10 and Nielsen...
Ease him back in then play whoever Lampard thinks best suits the opposition.
The emergence of BTA has given us a lovely headache in those forward positions, being greedy I want another body at least though. It's a long way to go and the pitches will start deteriorating soon.
You can spend money in the Championship and still do it well. We're not exactly spendthrifts.
The key is buying players you're confident will have a re-sale value with a couple of experienced heads (Grimes) sprinkled in when you don't feel like you're far away.
Spunking 10 mil on a 30 year old...
I can't remember ever feeling so comfortable going into a game.
That normally circles back round to worry about being overconfident but not this time.
Anything other than a comfortable win would be a big surprise to me.
They're so dense that when it all falls apart they'll blame the EFL/council/government and when baldy and touchdown sail off with their huge interest loans called in and the club is in the shit again they'll be crying for them to come back.
I wish Boro would start dropping points.
I think we're head and shoulders above everyone else at the moment but there will inevitably be a sticky patch and I want a cushion at the top when it happens.
The thing worrying me at the moment is we become one of those teams that absolutely smashes a calendar year but misses out on promotion because the start of one season and end of another are awful.
No sign of it yet but we’re playing so well it already feels like the pressure is building.
