But imagine if that ‘easy start’ delivers only a couple of points. Then they can look forward to facing the rest of the season chasing Derby’s lowest point tally.

    Allotment/Veg patch

Squashes take up a lot of space so I would limit the number of them. lettuce and spinach dont take up much space and kale ok if you want a winter veg. Soft fruits are worth thinking about for future years (gooseberries, red and black currants give a good return if soil decent).

    Allotment/Veg patch

How big the area? Yes re lettuce. Also try perpetual spinach. Perhaps a few leeks (I planted mine today), beetroot will still grow and a couple of squashes (if you can get plants rather than start from seed)…butternut squash or a baked potato squash or a pumpkin.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

Hoping for Sheffield win only on the basis that they will be the stronger of the two next season if still in championship. Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

Will be watching the playoffs from New Orleans and will be flying in for the final (should we get there) the day before. Glad we finished 5th as playing Sunderland over two legs as opposed to sheff Utd should, on paper at least, be the ‘easier’ tie. I think both legs will be tight with a narrow...

Kitching, grimes and sheaf doing exceptionally well. Halfway to a clean sheet. If we can get a point here will do the c squad confidence no end of good

    Not normally one to bleat…

Styles left the ref no choice but to be given a second yellow card. As clear and obvious card offence as you will see. No mitigation at all. Only half hearted complaints from styles and other wba players; they knew it was a card and reacted accordingly

    Ref again

Thought the ref today had a pretty good game. Got the big call right (second yellow for styles), set out his stall early re wba creeping yds from throw ins etc. yes you could argue a bit of inconsistency in some of the soft fouls and we were lucky the Lino gave Armstrong offside when he wasn’t...

Difference between team who look comfortable on the ball but toothless and devoid of real ideas and a side who look to break quickly, run at defenders and shoot when they have the opportunity

EMC let their player wander off the back of him. Difficult then to intercept whilst running back and facing own goal.
