It’s so crazy. Me and my Dad used to book tickets knowing we could pretty much sit wherever we wanted in the ground. Now we’re selling out in 20 mins. I agree we don’t want to go back to 2013-16, but it’s also the period we laugh most about now looking back.
In a weird way almost a perfect scenario. We can relax knowing it’s done, but can confirm properly on the pitch. I really do want us to win the title now though. We deserve it and shouldn’t rest until that has been completed.
I thought Simms provided way more of a threat and was physically more of a problem. Yes , he fluffed a chance, but I’d prefer that to what we saw from Wright
It was a carbon copy of Oxford. We should have been high in intensity from the start. Allowing them to drift with throw ins. I think we all got sucked into thinking it would happen automatically (even Frank).
I think there were three attacking chances:
Rudoni trying to hit under the wall
Haji trying a volley and fluffing
BTA trying a volley and missing
all of those smacked of complacency. No way would they have done that against Boro. We’ve had a good season, but that was a complacent performance.
It’s constantly pushed that the FA Cup is not as big now, which is true, but it is still a massive trophy. Look at the wobbler both Liverpool and Arsenal fans threw when they went out of it this week.
Starting supporting Cov after FA Cup win. Would prefer that to promotion. It’s a big trophy, an unforgettable day out and Europe. It’s a bigger achievement.
