Match Thread Coventry City - Stoke City Sat 28th Feb 3pm ko

I'm not one for rotating for the sake of it - confidence will be high so stay with the same starting XI unless injury (Wright's shoulder?) or the fatigue data suggests to the contrary. Every expectation this will not be a classic free flowing goal fest. Moreso, a really physical battle. Dont...

No surprise , and happy, we've kept the same XI. Bench looks light years ahead of what we had available earlier in the season. Time for everyone to show up again.

Fair play to FL. Made some big calls and rightly so in my view. Time for those selected to show they deserve their spot and put in a shift. Apart from EMC, the bench is pretty stacked, which is good to see. No more excuses. It's time to switch on and put a run together. It'll be a battle but...

    What was your first game

My Grandad played in goal for city during the 1919-20 season, albeit for only 3 games.... Not sure I should be admitting this, given they were infamously shite.....

    What was your first game

December 1976, just turned 8 1-1 v Ipswich Stood on the Kop with my Dad, right at the top. Don't remember much about the game itself. Do remember the walk across Gosford Park, the smells and just how cold it was.

Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 26th Jan

Got exactly what we deserved. Woeful performance from any player representing CCFC; no one comes out of that with any credit whatsoever. Piss poor passing, ball control and movement. Failure to do any of the basics; completely over run in midfield, bullied defensively and didn't capitalise on...

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Tuesday 20th Jan

Will be interesting to see if FL does switch it up tonight... personally think he will start Eccles (over Torp) and Tats (over Esse) Rushworth MVE Lati Kitch JDS Grimes Eccles Tats Rudoni EMC Simms Wright, Esse, BTA, Torp, possibly Minny, to hopefully finish the job Another tight game and...

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

Rushworth MVE Woolf Kitch JDS Torp Grimes Esse Rudi EMC Simms Potentially strongest bench for some time Wilson Lati Bidders Eccles Andrews Saka Minny BTA Wright Thomas and Allen still to come back in. Expecting a poor game with neither side in any real form, them set up to frustrate, and an...

Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

Hard earned point on a difficult pitch and with quite a number of regulars not starting/missing. No great fluency or cohesion but still should have been all 3 had we seen the game out with a professional, do the basics right, approach, except no, thanks to a ridiculous piece of Sunday league...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 26th Dec

As all have said, hard to pick without any info on the bug but my 'best case' if Saka, Torp, Thomas, Kitch, MvE still down with the flu, and BTA still out, will be: Rushie Lati Wolf Bidders KKH Grimes Eccles Brau Rudi Simms EMC Wilson, Allen, Wright plus the kids on the bench. Hopefully most...

    Latibeaudiere

Some of the pregame comments re Lati (and Wolf) in the match thread were unbelievable. Anyone would have thought we'd brought them in from the Dog & Duck stiffs, rather than being a pair of experienced professionals.... Both played really well in a difficult game. Shows the strength and unity...

    Atmosphere

What atmosphere yesterday..... Maybe the lack of beer didn't help yesterday but it's been pretty flat for a few weeks now. One positive. It might stop the inane references and questions about it by CWR.....

    Bristol Ratings

Interesting read and some wide range of views. My thoughts on a tough, hard fought, but ultimately deserved win: Rushworth 8, outstanding and MoM performance MvE 5 looked well off it and defensively caught out of position consistently 2nd half Thomas and Kitching, both 6. Thought their 30 was...
