Hopefully Vale kick lumps out of them and take through to penalties but ultimately loose so we play Bristol on Saturday. Their pitch looks like something from the 70's so there will certainly be some tired legs at the weekend
Just re watched the extended highlights, that’s the best 1st half performance since Southampton, We could have easily been 3-4 up. Yes they stemmed the flow in the 2nd half but we still dominated them & completely deserved the winner. Really surprised how toothless they looked.
Rudi looks back...
His work rate is unmatched & once he has the beating of a LB he can be a nightmare, but I think he lacks the goal threat of a Fatawu or Whittaker IMO. Watching the highlights back from Wednesday, he had 3 decent chances in the 2nd half and maybe should have converted 1 of them.
If Robins sets Stoke up as we think, I would be tempted to start Torp to try and unpick their low block. Question is do you rest Onyeka or do the unthinkable and put Grimes on the bench. Also wouldn't be surprised to see the wingers rotated, this is the type of game Esse could be useful in &...
Funnily enough we parked at the same place. It was more the fans immediately outside of the ground heading back to the town centre that were lairy, once we got past the row or takeaways it seemed to weed out the dickheads.
Tbf to them, we went to the Spoons around the corner from the car park...
What a huge night that was, far from some of the free flowing football we produced back in the autumn, but the lads showed the sort of resilience many (including myself) doubted that group had by coming back from going a goal down. Winning ugly at this time of the season away from
home is...
I fear you may be right on this one. I have been in club cov since the return to the CBS & have said I wouldn't pay more than a grand for what is essentially a padded seat, pints in a glass & a free coffee at HT and this season was 1k on the nose. I have been arguing with myself since it looked...
Minimum of 4pts from the next 2 sets us up nicely for a run of winnable games in March before the next international break. Tonight is exactly the type of game the lads can prove to the rest of the league we have turned the corner away from home if we can get win
Agree with all of that, but I would play BTA on the right and rest Saka instead. I could see him getting kicked in the air tomorrow, but a 30 minute cameo at the end could be vital
Biggest call for Saturday is who drops out of the match day squad for BTA. IMO we do not need x2 CB's so Woofly should drop out but Lamps seems to want to keep him involved
He’s been solid every time he has played this season & deserves a run in the team. Love how much of a shit house he is as well, constantly in the oppositions ear
