Bit of an exaggeration there Moff about Cov and Warwickshire having a hardcore of CRFC fans! I would suggest that the only 'hardcore' CRFC fans reside in Coventry. Their 'bumper' gate remember was just 1,300 last week. Cov and Warwickshire has a lot of other reasonable clubs, Nuneaton, Bedworth...
What has been said here is bang on. If you disagree 'Vote for Grendel' at the next council elections. Not sure it will change anything, but at least G will be able to pursue his desire of 'power for powers sake'.
Me thinks your mate Grendel has been as outmanoeuvred as his hero's. Now he just wants everyone to take it out on the Council he despises, but would love to be elected to.
These self promoting 'masters of the universe' don't half make you larf!
Perhaps as you are all too emotionally close to the situation you can not see a potential positive. If WASPs do buy the Ricoh it could give a new
direction for the football club, i.e. they can try and build a new stadium IN Coventry whilst they are renting, as the council would probably be less...
The question should be, why are some of you getting upset? You ARE a franchise town already i.e. the Blaze. No protest there. Your football teams owners took them away from the city and you protested, fair enough. But as for the Rugby Union issue, the sport has moved in a completely different...
So where were all you pious Coventrians when your city nicked a hockey franchise from Solihull. You embraced it and it became a top team?
Not a peep was there! Embrace Wasps as it is your only chance of having a top class team in any major sport for the rest of your lifetimes!
Why oh why do you guys let Grendel (spelt properly for the faint hearted), an obviously failed small time politician
with a hatred for those who actually managed to get elected, use this site to pedal his own agenda at the expense
of genuine pissed off Cov supporters. As an outsider it seems it...
Why do some of you lot even respond to RFC (who is clearly a club insider) and Grendel (who is clearly a council hating,
failed politician).
By the way some of us over here starting 'thinking lucky' and look what's happening to us, but then again there are over 20 odd thousand
of us thinking...
Just remind me grendull, who hired Mr Thorn for you and stuck with him even after relegation? Wasn't SISU was it? No wonder your fellow fans think your a div!
No it's not, its covered by Rugby Borough Council. My post wasn't a total mickey take, the stadium name was,
but the address will be bang on. And it has exactly the right amount of land available. Public transport nightmare
though, but at least the Sparrow will be the away fans pub.
