Went to West Ham v Brighton tonight and used a mate’s season ticket in a good spot among the WH hardcore fans. Bubbles was good at the start and there was the odd ‘Irons’ but generally not a lot of singing. Brighton fans were rubbish. WH had no player songs but did sing two anti-Lampard ones...
We were sat on the second row near where the subs warm up and KKH spent the least amount of time warming up. Did notice that Wilson and Lati were great chatting to the ball boy who was near us.
To the tune of Top of the World by The Carpenters. Last line maybe not quite right …
We’re on the top of the league
Looking down on the Leicester
And the only explanation I can find
Is the form that we’ve found
Since Lampard’s been around
City’s going to the Premier League
I've got up pretty much every night of the three games to watch it, just so predictable. The Aussies have barely missed a thing across three tests and Brook has two key drops and two batting failures in this Test alone (obviously he's not the only one).
I'm going to the Sydney Test - I leave...
Thought Lampard was going to get himself sent off there. He was absolutely raging / pumped up. He went down their end first too. Huge to hold on there. Great work Lati and Wolf but Rushworth potentially MOTM again.
Can’t believe it took so many replies in this thread to say this. When all the kids are off, surely it’s way better to kick-off at 18.00 rather than 20.00? Personally, it works out a lot better being two hours earlier.
Not that it impacts his points here but thought Rushworth was very good in the post-match interview. He’s already brilliant for us but he looks to have what it takes to go all the way. Good on him and I hope it’s with us.
If it was two points dropped on Tuesday, then that was two gained thanks to that brilliant save from Rushworth.
That was tense but the team showed great resolve to hold on - definitely the type of ugly win that's needed in a promotion push.
The clean sheet is very welcome as were the likes...
