Same thing happened to me. With Pompey taking the points hit and the Leeds result I had high hopes for a possible climb back up the table to safety, with the right set of results from us and our friends at the bottom of the table. But now with the loss today it feels just that little bit more...

I'm not sure many people would simply pin the entire blame on Thorn for the loss, but he must shoulder some of the blame at least. It seems like the desire left us in the second half, and if the players don't have the hunger for the win then it can't happen.

It is a very difficult run on games, it doesn't inspire any confidence in me.

Because some of us are cock-eyed optimists and genuinely believed that we could have it in us. Not necessarily because of our momentum or our talent, but because Forest have been very poor recently as well and we may have been able to just clinch it.

It certainly played a big part in it. Forest made some changes at half time and we simply did not respond to them, and so that coupled with weak defending cost us those three points.

I do agree with you that the result of this match does not necessarily mean that we will definitely get relegated, and that by no means should we be surprised about not winning away again. But I can't help feeling that this does just spell the beginning for a final poor run of form towards...

So disappointing considering how well we played in the first half.
