He played the other week, came on as sub and was sent off for a late tackle within minutes. Looked well off the pace from what I saw but I think it was his first appearance after injury so not too much of a surprise especially as he tends not to hold back.

Yes he did, that's true and he looked off the pace, but I still think he could do a decent job when called upon at this level.

I know I'm going to get verbally slaughtered for this and it's not deliberate provocation but I think that Luke O'Nien on loan for the rest of the season wouldn't be as ridiculous as it sounds. Even if he were only to be used from the bench, he has the experience and tenacity to help see games...

Grimes has that rare ability to always turn away from trouble when receiving the ball. It's almost like a sixth sense and means he will nearly always open up space for himself. Guardiola was the same in his Barcelona playing days and Xavi was another. We are very fortunate to have him.
