I can not help thinking that in recent weeks the fans focus has been directed away from the shambles that is CCFC to other entities and other matters. It is of course not a new tactic but we are sharper than that aren't we?

Yes the stuff about ACL and CCC sells papers and furthers agendas but is it what should matter to CCFC fans? Yes there are questions for CCC to answer, perhaps not the leaps of logic and rewriting of history some put forward but yes there are questions. However it is all about the past isn't it. Surely what matters most is the now and the future ? the problems are mounting and our club/owners are not being challenged on them......

no goal keeper
players preferring to sit on the bench rather than play
no sight of any influx of any players - not even much speculation
at least 5 players gone from a small inexperienced squad with no replacements
players injured and the apparent discontent in the camp
a lack of clarity on the pitch
sterile turgid football
falling crowd numbers
disconnected fans
falling income
Commercial ineptitude
A vague 5 point plan for the future that has not much substance and in places doesn't seem to add up
a decent budget for L1 but so far failure after failure
cash flow positive but no money to spend
no news on the new stadium in fact no facts at all
18th in table looking over our shoulders at relegation
falling approval ratings for the manager
the lack of passion
the list goes on

then you check the fixtures for the next month
- Yeovil 24th
- Rochdale 5th
- Preston 4th
- Scunthorpe 17th (3 games in hand)
- Bradford 6th
- Sheff Utd 7th
- MK Dons 3rd

Concerned? ......... I know I am

But we should be looking at what CCC was doing last year and the year before shouldn't we.......:thinking about:

absolutely spot on.
SISU, ACL, Court case stories and we'll probably hear some more new stadium stuff before the end of the window.
All distracting from the football side particularly the manager's performance.
Before you know it window's closed, no new players and we'll get in some more duff loanees - which the management tell us they don't want to do as they aren't so motivated etc. - and we'll be haunting the bottom 6 for the rest of the season.

100% agree we are slipping to oblivion and all we do is worry about the council, fisher and waggott need to wake up and address the all to obvious problems before it is too late

Trying to centre CCFC fans onto CCFC on a CCFC forum. Its treason I tell you.

Seriously though. Well said OSB. It's what I've been saying and getting mocked for. Although to be fair I probably didn't put it as well as you.

seems a fair summation but doesn't get us anywhere.

With the real debt so massive what can ordinary fans do?

In a strange way the list of problems is almost a reason for concentrating on council bashing, it's more fun than worrying about our poor position

While most are talking about court cases, he said, she said,, appeals and loans,, SW,TF JS and SP are not being asked very important questions about the club's future.

SP, Transfer policy(type of players), 1st team results and tatics.
SW,Transfer Policy(Budget and investment and why a 4 year deal to SP)
TF,Stadium -where is it, how much will it cost -who pays for it- and will the club pay rent How Much
JS,Why not sell instead of Appeals, What is the Short-Mid and long term plan.

Now if you want to ask the CCC about any new news regarding the deal for Wasps carry on but the facts are for all to see no matter how Wasps have the Stadium and nothing is going to change that fact.. Even if Les keeps digging,, its tied up as tight as a drum,

With respect OSB, we've lost any realistic chance of ever owning our own ground, or at least getting access to enough funding from it.

I don't think anyone has lost focus on what a crap set of owners we've got - but one day they'll be gone. In the meantime, we still won't have our own ground, or if we do it may well not be in Coventry.

I'm not surprised that that's getting a lot of interest, or that people want to comment on some of the remarkable stuff that's come out of the council recently regarding ACL. It doesn't mean that we're not worried about how crap the team is though.

In other words, I don't think that the Council selling to Wasps was an attempt by SISU to draw attention away from their manifold failings. ;)

Can we not look try and see the truths from everything though? I don't think anybody thinks "one side did this, we will forget the rest" do they?

At the end of the day, dwelling on the mistakes of the council isn't going to help us equally as much as dwelling on the past mistakes of SISU isn't going to help us. But its a talking point, if something scandalous came out about SISU from 4 years ago the forum would explode.

A lot of the onfield issues such as
no goalkeeper (Actually we have two, just neither seem to be that good in Burge and Cook)
lack of incoming players
5 players leaving
crap football
Should be asked to the manager and the scouting team

Read the JR. The hard work is done already.
It's damning of Sisu.
Okay where do we go now because that won't change.

"You need eyes to see...." Only if you are looking the right places old chap.

It's a waste of time arguing with these guys. It's CCC fault and if they can prove it the Ricoh is ours FFS

Who has said that? You are talking absolute bollocks for a change.

Weren't you making banners shouting how great SISU were?

The same way you spoke about locals at Northampton I guess and then totally went against that.

You don't seem to be able to think for yourself, just go with the "majority". As well as just coming out with random shit that isn't related to anything going on.

But don't you and some of the other posters think that with what has gone on and where we have ended up exactly the reason why people should be banging Sisu/Otium's fucking door down?

If we have no Ricoh to buy where is the new one?

Why didn't they pursue the Ricoh before the eleventh hour if they really wanted it?

Where are the new signings we were promised to improve our squad?

Why the fuck haven't they sacked Pressley?

What exactly are their intentions with CCFC?

The questions about CCC/ACL will I'm sure be rolled out in courts all over the land in the coming years but we as CCFC need answers from Sisu/Otium NOW because we are on the verge on falling into L2 and further into oblivion.

But hey, I'm sure we'll get shit loads more threads about the Council fucking us over and Wasps are bastards and asking them questions way before people start looking back at Sisu and where we are and what they propose to do about CCFC and sorting out the problems with the team/club.

Think you'll find that Duffer, and Chiefdave banged on almost exclusively against Sisu and were pro-CCC for years.

They, like pretty much everybody, are still Anti-Sisu, but have, after the whole Wasps thing, and some subsequent revelations, decided that maybe others have a few questions to answer.

They haven't just paid lip-service to such emotive issues as franchising, or public money put at risk to support a hedge-fund.

Have to wonder why others don't question?

Couldn't give a fuck who has banged on about what. I care about CCFC now and what is happening but yes you're right, lets keep asking about CCC/ACL despite us all knowing it'll end up in court for a long while yet with no conclusion for years to come and sit by and watch us slip into L2 and further away from any chance of getting the younger generation and lifeblood of the club up and supporting the team. As Fernando said in an earlier post "it's more fun bashing the Council" than caring about our club. Say's it all.

OSB I entirely agree with the shambles that CCFC is at present but we can't ignore the revelations coming out of various sources regarding the events over the Ricoh Arena surely? It's our home or should be and information needs to be heard in order to get a good fix of perhaps why (among other reasons) our club is in the dire straights it is in at present, which as you say include the playing side.

I would love to focus on the playing side but I sense the appetite for that is lost on many and who could blame them. For what it's worth I think we are in a terrible position but by no means un-repairable. Those games you mention seem daunting enough but football is a funny old game as they say and conventional wisdom suggest we will get results where at present we think unlikely.
There is little news coming out about the playing side other than rumour and speculation. Having said that no new news of incoming players or the managers future maybe suggest a change is afoot perhaps?

If people don't care about what the council have or haven't done as they care more about the club why have people felt the need to defend them for the last few years.

For the past few years we've had people on here defending them with their lives, now they have been shown up for what they are and its oh I don't care anyway because it doesn't affect the club, you certainly cared before when you were arguing their case at every available opportunity.

Yeah, interesting isnt it - 6 months ago on this forum, virtually everyone shared your myopic and sheepish view of the world. A lot more people prepared to challenge this now and you dont like it because mostly they have better arguments than you.
