He'd be good in this league but we'd have 6 strikers then, experience keeper and physical midfielder should be priority.
Maybe we should pair him up with Ched Evans and increase our striker options even further to the detriment of the midfield

Fully agree. If we hadn't signed Nouble this may have been a possibility. Can't see it happening.

I wasn't keen on the King signing, although having got used to him being here I'll admit I wasn't happy when he was allowed to leave. Who else have we had that you're referring to? In this case it's less about his conviction and any morale outrage and more concern about having him around a young squad who may have the potential to be led astray.
We let a kid go who had a questionable personality a couple of Summers back .
He's now playing the level above ,hasn't been convicted of anything ,seems there Is little consistency .

Would assume that one of our current strikers is either going somewhere else on loan to get games, Miller? Tudgay? Perhaps McQuoid is going back to Bournemouth?

I personally don't care if someone has done his time and changed their ways then fine.

The Telegraph understands that the 24-year-old Sheffield Wednesday striker, who had a three month spells with the Sky Blues as a raw teenager under Chris Coleman in the Championship, could complete a temporary move from Hillsborough to the Ricoh Arena with a view to being involved against Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Although Madine never scored in nine substitute appearances for City back in 2009/10, he went on to be a sensation at Wednesday where he scored 18 goals to help the Owls gain promotion from League One in 2011/12.
The troubled target man, who served five months in prison after being sentenced for 18-months last October when he was found guilty of two separate nightclub assaults, had a loan spell back at his first club Carlisle on his release when Wednesday stood by him, scoring twice in five starts for the Cumbrians.
However, he has been unable to earn a starting place in Stuart Gray’s side since where he has largely been used as a substitute, struggling to make an impact in the Championship and scoring just one goal.
But at 6ft 3 inches tall, the Gateshead-born player can hold up the ball and was prolific in League One where it appears he’s hoping to revive his flagging career with the Sky Blues.

I am still convinced that with games together Nouble and Jackson will tear League 1 defences to shreds, but this will be an excellent addition to the squad.

The 24-year old has made 13 appearances for the Owls this season, scoring one goal in a 3-0 win over Notts County in the Capital One Cup.
Having started his career with Carlisle United, Madine joined the Sky Blues on loan in October 2009 and made nine appearances for City in a three-month spell at the Ricoh Arena.
During the 2011/12 season for Sheffield Wednesday, Madine scored 18 goals in League One and City manager Steven Pressley believes the striker will add quality and physicality to the squad.

The only one of the three amigos i would consider keeping is Couilaby seeing we're back playing 4-4-2 and could do with cover on the wings.
