Why we should never forgive the Football League. (1 Viewer)

As amazing as it is to be returning to the Ricoh. I will never forget how we have been treated by these people.

A quick look at the response they gave to our Ricoh return.

“When the Football League board gave its consent to Coventry City playing its matches in Northampton, it did so with this outcome in mind.
"It ensured that the club could continue to fulfil its fixtures, and thereby remain in the Football League, while all parties focussed on resolving this complex commercial dispute.
"While we understand that the board’s decision led to a significant amount of dissatisfaction amongst Coventry supporters, we would not be where we are today without it. On this basis alone, this very difficult decision has now been justified.

What a pile of shit.

So if they had refused the move what would have happened in the parallel universe?
I don't think, they think, that (dark) matters. Because the decisions they made have been totally justified.

Yo're right for once, the statement from the FL is just that, next you'll be telling everyone you stood on the hill.

No, never stood on The Hill but only missed 1 game. Why, because I follow & support the club (Manager, Staff & Players) NOT OWNERS, COUNCILS or STADIUM MANAGERS or OPERATORS. PUSB!

The majority of fans who also follow and support the club managed to stay away so YOU WERE IN THE MINORITY who didn't.

Have you ever asked yourself why they did it ?

Gentlemen, let's get back on point. The FL 'showed its arse' in they way they treated us, faced with the threat of litigation they cast us aside with cowardly ease. FYI let's not forget these people are still doing this to the fans of Cardiff and Blackpool, both of whom need our support.

They would have done sweet FA if it weren't for the boycotts and protests that eventually embarrassed them into doing something and forced our owners financial arm up their back. If we had of all caved in at the first hurdle and sold Suxfields out every game we would have been there for the 3-5 years before returning back to the Ricoh as the new ground in the Coventry "area" is never going to happen and successfully distressing ACL to collapse was even less likely.

Thanks for FA FL

They could have stopped this whole shitstorm from the start, they are, and have proven themselves to be cowards.

Correct. The rules clearly have to change. I think they will but will it be too late for some?

I look at stuff clubs have had happen to them. It always seems to go back to normal in the end.

2 examples are st James park called the sports direct arena and lasted a few months.

We moved to Northampon and last just over a year.

Even I look at Cardiff home shirts now in red which is an outrage but as soon as new owners come in they obviously will change it back to blue if they had any sense and wanted fans on board.

Things do try to change but fans always seem to win in the end. (Long term fans win)

As a supporter since 1962 I can stand proud and say that I did the right thing and not once stepped inside Sixfields.

But with strong leadership from a governing body that had a back bone, these things would never have happened. The FL is not a higher authority, it only exists because we, the fans, go and watch our club. And they have the f'in cheek to make like they played a part in our return to the Ricoh, cowards.

I think we will get government intervention soon. We have to else it will all go out of control. There has to r certain rules and I heard one spoken about was locking both a stadium and team together. I think it was either 2016 or 2018 they reckon some enforcements via the government could be in place.

There is hope.
