New statement (1 Viewer)

Not really.

The statement makes it quite clear that no negotiations can take place until the FL make their decision, because ACL are insistent on that, however the details of SISUs proposal have been made available 'for review by ACL' ahead of that decision being made. That all seems pretty easy to understand to me.

What this offer entails nobody knows, but I am sure we will find out in due course.

As for the JR appeal, of course it will have to be dropped ahead of any new deal, we all know that.

I don't see much jumping up and down either by anyone. Just a little cautious optimism.

It does appear that one or two seem genuinely annoyed by this apparent SISU u-turn, which is odd to say the least.
Money was in escrow when ACL said it had not been paid to them
JR will not be dropped
Where's the u turn by SISU

For all we know the "proposal" sisu have lined up is to drop the appeal? I think this was implied in the letter just not in a direct way.

CCFC web site clearly states we will not be dropping the appeal ACL said pay the money you owe and drop the appeal before talks can take place.

I think sisu are just trying to bemuse the FL--which shouldn't be hard.

I'm a bit like you on this one - are they trying to position themselves as 'serious negotiators hoping to deliver what their fans want' just for show to the FL, before they meet on 7th August - thus letting the FL to go soft on them, as negotiations appear to be happening - hope not, but remain suspicious (sounds too much like a posturing statement - please let me be 100% wrong)

This is how i see it just lip service to the FL and fans !
We know what Sisu's bullshit offers are like it will be either give us the stadium take it or leave it ! Or they will offer a charitable amount because they feel its worthless !

Spot the slight change in the link and the pasted article? The link has now been modified to remove Seppala's name, which means any Fisher offer does not have the blessing of Joy, hence the offer is worthless like the one of 29 Jan 2013, which Fisher shuck hands on then was lambasted by Seppala as he had no delegated authority. Fisher continued to treat us fans with contempt

I have read the first 3 or four pages of this topic. Everybody who is saying "it's up to ACL now" please wake up and see how SISU are playing you. For goodness sake this is just what they want. ACL made it quite clear they would not negotiate unless SISU dropped their court action - and I don't blame them. A few people have hit the nail on the head here with the correct assessment of the situation particularly ccfcway with:-

“so If I want to play in your backgarden, despite not paying for playing in it last time, whilst also taking you to court to try and get your house for free, you'd happily open the door to a deal ?”

The crafty twats (SISU) are playing on the fans desperation to turn them against ACL. Devious, despicable -they have no respect for the fans at all in their sick money-game. They have no place in decent society.

It could be a completely unrealistic/unreasonable proposal...or it could be a completely reasonable/acceptable one.
Perhaps we ought to keep an open mind...& just err towards the first - that will temper any subsequent disappointment (i.e. what we're most accustomed to)

It does say a lot, but nothing we didn't already know. It doesn't matter what the likes of Fisher/'Labo' have to say, Seppalla pulls the strings and ultimately our return to Coventry lies in her swallowing her pride and going to ACL for negotiations.

So why dont ACL (who love the club remember) ring 'em up and say lets do it now? How about you drop the legals and we'll drop the money thing? We'll sorg that stuff out round the table at the same time as discussing a Ricoh deal?

Sent from my phone using my chubby sausage fingers so please excuse any errors.

Before ACL do anything sisu have to make contact with them to suggest talks. To do that they must meet ACL's justified demands before talks can
take place, ie pay the monies owed and drop the appeal, to the best of our knowledge none of this has occurred.

The ball is firmly in sisu's court.

You got it.

So why bother reading it all then? Or boring us all with your conclusion when you have already made up your mind and have nothing constructive to offer?

Michael, are you angry they didn't do this by 5pm on Friday?

Looking forward to seeing your statement.

As said by the man who moans about other people being divisive. Decent thread and some good points thrown in with some cautious optimism and well founded general weariness about Sisu, and then your stupid comment :claping hands:

I don't see why the JR appeal if granted to, should be dropped. That's a separate issue of law that must be concluded.
Both sides got into it and the end result may well have little effect on anything that can be negotiated now.

As for the Ricoh return? Well yes SISU will clearly come home but the caveate is they either negotiate from a sitting tenant position on future ownership or build their own house. Either way ACL have everything to gain and therefore why not accept the proposal and get to that position?

It would be very hard for SISU to take the football club away again for a second time surely? Can't imagine what that would do to shake the very foundation of the club and it's relationship with the FL and it's fans, so yes they would stay given a deal to do so and then play the game of negotiation for the Ricoh ownership in some capacity. It's where all sides should have been long ago.

Should it be dropped if the first judge say's no appeal but then Sisu take it further to the 3 judges? Maybe they should employ Saint Jude to be their lawyer. Everybody knows the JR is flogging a dead horse so they should drop it NOW. Not because ACL has asked for it but because it is just plain fucking stupid to keep pressing on. But at least if the very odd person like you say's they should keep going with it, maybe it makes them think they really are doing it for the people of Coventry.

Sisu can do as they please we all know the FL have no balls.

Just want the games played?

Don't care about fans don't care about Clubs.

So yes lightning can strike more then once.

Even among this hotbed of SISU rimmers theres a lot of posts pointing out its a clever move to get the fans to turn on the council / ACL.

That march we all went on* really seems to have shock them a bit, the JR battering, the paltry season ticket sales did set the ball rolling and that MP pushed it a bit futher but we really might have a football team again soon.

We have a deal ready to go now?

Here it is - we pay you what we want we think we want to, provided a bird hasn't crapped on the car on the way to the bank. In return we want all of the F&B, all of any payments that the hotel and casino pay you, all the car park fees. You pay all the electricity, rates, gas and for all the refreshments we are selling, all wages for stewarding, turnstiles etc on match days and pay out the lease we have on our super store at the Gallagher.

In short until the details are known, to me this is just spin. Been sold down the river by SISU, a meaningless statement might appease some, but you took me for a mug when you got the club, it won't happen again. The deal must be - pay what we owe, except the law of the land, stop taking local charities and councils to court, pay a fair rent, and if I was ACL it would be in advance, with a bond up front handed to an independent company, and by that I mean someone like a blue chip company that values its reputation, not the FL. Their credit score must be in the minus where ACL are concerned.

absolute rubbish! It was only a few weeks ago that we knew what she looked like!

No people have met her at Ryton - last year I think, it was reported on here but I can't remember who it was who met her.

I wouldn't read any great conspiracy into it. Likely human error.

Hi simon, are ACL expected to give a statement or are they willing to just listen to this "proposal" nothing to lose and all that?

What's your impression on this latest statement?

So there was no clause that stated if the initial gaurantors were persued then this would me netted off?

So you do have the agreement - share it please
In English mate. Always accusing others of posting crap, and yet here you are posting this unintelligible shite. Us council estate boys are at least able to articulate our posts correctly.

Odd there was no mention of the new ground.

Wasn't in the last statement either. The latest party line is own the stadium not build.

Make no mistake sisu need to come home. They may not want to but they need to else the club isn't sustainable and this will have been advised. Stay at Northampton and ccfc goes under. Even if they could do another season at sixfields and then what? That's my point. These last two letters prove sisu have changed they have had to.

Sisu don't need to put out these statements. The only reason you would is to return home. No point in doing it else.

In what respect is it human error?

Same link with Joys name. Later on her name removed?

I am personally backing SISU in some sorts on this one, however she has to be behind it?
