'Bring us home' . !!!
Bridges can be built. There would be an immediate buzz around the city again.
Our owners can only benefit.
The upsurge in excitement and interest would grow, just the way it did for our '87 adventure. Just as it did previously for Jimmy Hill's visionary years and latterly the momentum will gather as it did for Posh and MK Dons away fixtures if this support was given a sniff of success. Look at the sell out for the Crewe game!
Grab the opportunity.
20,000 minimum will attend the Ricoh on our return and given momentum it may just sell out.
It is SISU's chance to be part of a new successful beginning.
Please grass it with both hands for your sake but particularly for the fans sake.

BRING US HOME

Great sentiment Simon, will never happen, as Sisu signed an extension on Northampton a week ago, they owe ACL £590,000 which they refuse to pay, and they continued to litigate. Sadly all a smoke screen, they care not for the people of Coventry.

Have I missed something? Have Sisu signed an extension? Surely that is incorrect

That's bollocks and you know it!
Just for once those that continuously derail threads to suit agendas need to leave this one alone!

It's a year since they signed the suxfields agreement, it apparently has a break clause every year and as there's no sign of a return to the ricoh it's a reasonable enough assumption to make that they've confirmed to Cardoza that we're back next season. Not sure that qualifies as signed for another year especially as IIRC it was a three year deal in the first place.

They have not signed an extension as according to the Football League, they have 3 years grace with an option of extending by a further 2 years, by which time we'll be dead as a club anyway.
He is trying , like a handful before him/her to derail a positive no lose thread. If this nonsense persists, some if our older supporters , including me, will potentially never see the City play in Coventry again!!!!

That is also not correct!

There are no reasons. None! Why Coventry City can not kick off the new season at the Ricoh. No reasons.

'Bringcityhome' NOW, ( Ray Winston speak)
Love your passion my friend but you know as well as I that it just ain't going to happen.

As there's currently no deal, then making a deal shud be easier compared too before! I'd suggest any agreement should include full match day revenue and access to stadium and stand sponsorship. ACL offer this and the club would have to accept it.... I guess time limits would be a problem, maybe a rolling contract untill other issues get sorted!

Has not full match day income already been offered and turned down?

Don't think this has been offered...... It needs to be offered as I know it would be accepted, along with a scalable rent.....

There are some obvious questions to ask based on this, so I'll get in there first ;)

How do you know...?

Was at the famous CTK meeting, tim said that is wat they want but didn't think it would ever be offered..... I think he said that in his meetings after the JR as well.... If any one has met tim since maybe they could clarify on this and confirm, that is what they want..... I'm sure it would have been mentioned!

It's been offered as cross accounting.
This enables CCFC to have the income for Fair Play rules but I would think it would be cost neutral for money going actually into the club.

Not sure which deal it was part of but it's an option for discussion.

So it's not really an offer... Just some clever accounting with no net value to the club, and ultimately is of no benefit to anyone.

The deal joy rejected, as it was 80% of what ACL get in the deal with compass..... Or around 80% I'm sure it was in the telegraph!!!

Fair enough.

Goes back to the general point though. If that's what it takes for them to come back, they need to get that publicised to more than a group of 20.

As the thread is started by a Telegraph reporter, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to confirm the paper would be pleased to print details of what offer SISU want to come back ;) It'd tie in with the theme of their campaign after all.

I'm sure he can speak to him, himself.... but for me the media isn't the place for them to carry in this mess, a meeting behind closed doors is wat us needed, maybe thus campaign could start that..... If there's no meetings then the status quo doesn't change!!!

Yeah tbf I agree.

It just annoys me that we have many 'this is all we want' conversations, but somehow these messages never go beyond small pockets!

And then I start to doubt them...

But yes, taking on board the 'moving on' theme I agree, so scrub that about media involvement, just keep it simple and for god's sake just talk to each other!

Sisu want control of match day revenues in order to return to the Ricoh Arena on an interim deal. We reported this last week.

Still waiting to hear if ACL are willing to negotiate about that.

But, as I've said privately and publicly, I'd rather they just got on with it and we only found out once a deal was done.
