And spend your money at Preston

A game that really matters and you won't be conned by spending a fortune in london and will be surrounded by the hardcore city away support.

They are promotion rivals of ours and we need to get a result there. I ain't taking time of work to go to arsenal but can't wait for a great day at Preston, easy to get too on the train and good city centre pubs

Ps do I sound like I'm form the Preston tourist board?

Yep, can't argue with that really. Would be nice to have a big support against Arsenal but would much rather fill the away end at Preston.

800 will go to Preston & Orient. If we are doing well next month away followings will pick up again. The season usually dies off for us this time if year.

I've been to deepdale every pigging season since we dropped out of the PL......still not seen us win there. Definitely our bogey ground.

You are right and I've got a real dislike for them. 2-2 last year and we were by far the better team

I like them as a club....Their last manager was an arsehole, but they are a great traditional club.....I even enjoyed my first 8 or 9 visits despite results as the national football museum was a great way to spend an hour or so prior to KO.....but sadly that is no more.

Does anyone remember the chubby pissed bloke getting on the pitch & squaring up to Magnus in our first season down.....then his beer haze lifted & he suddenly realised that Magnus was about 15st. of prime -conditioned athlete......I swear the chubby fella shit his pants there & then.

Couldn't agree less. We are FA cup winners. I'm bored to death with 'concentrating on the league' how much good has that done us over the years. I watch football for excitement not so the club can 'become financially viable'. We've all been brainwashed by the accountants and other assorted arseholes who've taken over the game. F##k the lot of em I say and get down to Arsenal for a bit of excitement.

Bill glazier I get what you're saying! I really do! However, tell me how excited you are at 10pm Friday night and I will be over the moon we win at PNE. We won the cup 27 years ago. Most people on this forum don't even remember it. Not slagging you mate, I get what your saying, it's your view buddy

Due to finances I had the choice of the cup game or Notts County. Notts came out as the obvious choice. I love the FA Cup, but a run at the playoffs is far more important to me. Hopefully we will still be in contention in amonths time.

Couldn't agree more Swanny.
The cup game is a Friday night, travel more difficult, its on tv and we'll get hammered.
Preston is far more important and potentially far more enjoyable.
Roll on the 18th.

I have to say the one think I hate about the upcoming Arsenal fixture is that face that like 75% of fans attending aren't real CCFC fans. They're people whow ill walk at the first sign of Arsenal getting a goal, just like Crewe in the JPT last season. Its a major game and I will be going no matter what, even tho its my brother's 21st im gonna be in London supporting the boys in sky blue and I wont leave until the final whistle blows. If I have enough money I will go Preston too but right now, Arsenal is the priority

I agree ... now it's on TV ... prioritise other games ... this one is going to be painful I suspect to watch in any case ... Please be below 10 goals conceded )

Liam, May I suggest your brothers 21st birthday is probably the real priority....surely it would be better to enjoy the game in your brothers company watching the game in the pub & make it part of his night out...

....you can then travel to deepdale, save some cash & not be surrounded by the type of fans you state aren't "real"....

This of course assumes you actually like your brother. :p

I've never seen us win there, the cup game has trumped it for me this time (plus my missus wants to take me out for my birthday that weekend).
