We put out a statement last week. Not a lot to report atm! For those that weren't there last Monday is there anything you can think of that you'd like us to be doing that we're not doing already?

sorry, must have missed it

Whats the plan for the game against Sheff Utd ?

So many suggestions out there and I feel we really need some direction to focus on one event and drum up support from CWR, CET etc

sheff u needs numbers and noise plus a couple of specifics for media attention and honing general message to one specific for the day. So yes, planning is in full swing. part of yesterday on Jimmy's Hill was working out what's feasible. Still need to work through several things and continue liaising with Police so won't announce anything till it's all sorted or else will have people chasing red herrings all over the place. If you want to contribute then - start telling everyone you know they need to be on Jimmy's Hill 13 oct, 4pm ko. Any specific ideas email [email protected]

As for other stuff in this thread, I'll speak only for myself. I'm still a Trust Board member but 100% of my time goes on kcic so everything I do is kcic based and I leave it for other Trust Board members to speak on behalf of the Trust.

nopm was set up completely separate to the Trust, as a facebook page and twitter account, but as it grew the bloke who started it didn't have enough time to do it anymore so asked the Trust to take it over. The Trust Board agreed but decided it wanted the nopm side to be arms length. I took it on cos I don't like meetings at the best of times and am much happier with the events/campaigning/strategic stuff. nopm was set up before the move to northants was even announced. There was no great decision about keep cov in cov, it just started to develop from conversations as the move was announced. kcic and nopm therefore ran alongside each other. Through facebook I chuck stuff out for people to pick up/ignore as they want. Most recently this involved a discussion about kcic-nopm labels and consensus was nopm is a tactic to use, but kcic is the overall aim. Position on sisu is more complicated hence I've done the opinion poll on that and am awaiting results

For people going to stand on the hill against Sheffield United I hope 90 minutes of freezing temperatures standing on a hill in the pitch black will be worth your 2 minutes of recognition by the cameras, well thats if they can see you

I'm done with it Mustang.....

It appears to be beyond the comprehension of those in kcic/trust/nopm that the cameras will be broadcasting whats going on INSIDE the stadium.

I've given up.

No but its common knowledge that it is colder standing on a open hill than somewhere with 4 stands blocking some wind. However that is not the point of my post, the point was to hopefully make people understand the best form of protest at that game has to come from inside the ground. It seems now 90% of people agree NOPM will not starve the owners out and we are using it as a moral stance, therefore we should all let our pride take a hit by going inside for one game, for the future of Coventry City

And I'm still waiting for Fisher to let his pride take a hit and move MY team back to Coventry NOW, where it belongs.

Then perhaps I can visit family a bit more often than I am this year.

I'm again at a loss as to why people make things up that are simply untrue. For Colchester game it was an international break and no PL so knew media would need stories so we gave them one on the Hill and Sky covered it and while the Cov Telegraph didn't mention it at all three national papers did really good articles. Keeping the fight in the public eye is a key part of the kcic strategy - FL, sisu etc would love us all just to be quiet and let the matter drift into oblivion - and for Colchester it worked a treat. A televised game again provides a focus on ccfc so with the right story and targeting sympathetic journalists/reporters there's another great chance to pile pressure on .

For a start it will be dark, pitch black on top of that hill so unless you are suggesting a bonfire your efforts will be futile.

Any protest v Sheffield United has to take place INSIDE Sixfields IMO which will mean paying in for that week. Filling the main stand around the directors box might be something to consider. I also think the "Hill" has had it's day, time for something new.

I have never been however I have heard that Tim Fisher sits in the stand in direct view of everyone around him. What an opportunity!!

Go in for 20 minutes, walk out, stand on hill would have an impact.

Wouldn;t negatively impact on the team, wouldn't negatively impact on those who want to just watch the entire game. Would create a visual statement.

Would never be arranged of course, because people would be too busy arguing about who's the better fan, and insulting the person next to them if they didn't follow them out/ insulting the person next to them once they got up to leave.

Alternatively there's a chance to give back to the pubs and the like of Coventry who get less business on a match day this season.

All have the potential for volume but won't happen as time drifts, and Rome burns.

Disruption inside the ground v Sheffield will bring us attention. Very surprised the younger, vocal sector of our support haven't got this organised. A peaceful pitch invasion will draw a lot of attention to our situation. Peaceful. Just sitting in the centre circle for 5 minutes during the game. Needs to be hundreds for it to work.
Michael and the others, KCIC, NOPM etc, all nice guys doing their best. I applaud that. But for me it isn't direct enough.
A few did it at Crawley. And I honestly wanted all you behind the goal to follow them. But it never happened.
So are Singers Corner going to sort it?

Won't that mean a banning order? I agree something should be done in the game, the people stood on a hill may get a mention from commentary but that is all. People won't take note at all, unless they know the ins and outs they will just think people want to watch the game for free.

Nick, im just worried that everything we have done has been so peaceful out of SISU's way, they dont have to take notice. It is such a shame. We cant carry on doing the same actions and expecting a different outcome, life doesnt work that way

Nick, 500 people on the pitch, peacefully. They going to ban them all? Fine them all? Don't think so. I'm talking peaceful. Making a point. Don't be so timid and cautious. You want us back in Coventry like everyone else. Out of this madness.
Mustang has a point. He's been banging on about it for weeks. We can do nice on the hill, staying away, going to away games, letters to whoever, but this golden chance is here now.
Hey, maybe some of the Sixfields few will join us. You know, actually protest about us playing in another town?
Come on you boys in the naughty corner. Time to organise yourselves. But peacefully mind.

Inside the ground they will confiscate banners etc, so why not just 20 or so buy tickets and sit in the front row of the stand opposite the camera. All wear a T-Shirt with just ONE letter on it and arrange yourselves in the seating to read "KEEP COVENTRY IN COVENTRY" which will be seen by everyone on TV

They cant confiscate a t-shirt with one letter on it can they ?

Yeah, protesting in The Ricoh really worked brilliantly, didn't it?

SISU will simply ignore us, as they have done for the last 3 years. They won't change-they don't "do" customer service or listening to the fans. It's not like the fans who have been regulars all season are going to protest, are they? They'll probably tell protesters to shut up-they love it in Northampton!

A large majority of us will never give money to those bastards in Northampton, so it will be a token effort if it was attempted.

Yes and the current method of protesting is working a treat isnt it! I actually agree with mustang and Spionkop, you want media attention you need to do it in the ground and disrupt the game. One or two guys running onto the pitch isnt going to work, you need numbers.

Sitting on the hill with banners etc is fine if there are other things planned i.e. meetings with SISU, ACL, Councillors, FL etc. In isolation it is easily ignored and quickly forgotten particularly as they team are playing so well!

Why not a big protest on the hill by EVERYONE (those on the hill, those going in to watch etc) 20 mins before kick off, so the ground is completely empty before the game, then anyone wishing to watch can go in a min or so before kick off.

All "fans" singing outside the ground will get Skys attention and will also show a completely empty stadium when the players warm up. Its the show of uniity we need.

CCFCway, on second thoughts, the 20 people with cards thing is laudable, but having read Nonleague's post, changed my mind (don't get upset!). It's too nice a protest.
But the big hill protest with the Sixfields crowd, maybe. On the hill. But I fear too many of them are happy in their bubble, fingers in their ears. But you can ask them. And then they can go back in. A long shot.
Still think 500 or more doing a five minute sit in will get big media attention. & shame Sisu. Though they don't do shame do they. But it'll certainly get attention. But peaceful.
Where are you naughty corner guys? Show us how to do it.
