So we can't afford to pay appearance fees to the defenders we've got sitting their arse while two teenagers struggle, yet we can sign a striker even though we play one up and have a least three players who can play up top.

Unless Clarke's on his way?

Edit: Welcome to the madness Mathui <sp?>, I christen thee M&M

Could he be the new Adebola? A lumbering oaf, who some how manages to keep hold of the ball when it looks like he can barely put one foot in front of the other. I used to love those runs he made.

His goal at Ewood Park where he practically beat up Blackburn's defence is right up there in my favourite Cov goals.

So excited I can hardly contain myself. Do you remember the days when we were waiting for Robbie Keane to sign in time for the Derby game, that was real excitement. Now its Manset (whoever he is) and one other on the way. Lets get real.

I remember the days I could run 100 meters in just over 11 seconds, but I can't now so I'm going to sulk for the rest of my life.

Point being, we are at a shit level, so don't expect world beaters. We need players, so this is a good thing.

if you hate how low the club has fallen you could just stop supporting? leave it to the real fans who dont require glory to love their club

I'm fully aware of how low we are. You're the one wistfully looking back to days of yore.

Correct and why not, whats wrong with that?? I just cant get excited over a player who I have never heard of and is in on 75% of CM's wages which would suggest he is not as good as CM and lets face it CM hardly set the world on fire.

But you're talking as if people are creaming themselves over him, whereas all that actually seems evident is some kind of relief that someone's come in mixed with a caution or cautious optimism.

The wages thing doesn't really suggest anything other than McDonald being vastly overpaid. Had you heard of every player we'd signed up to now who ended up a success?

17 goals in 100 games for MM if Wikipedia is to be believed. To be fair he has moved around a lot so has several clubs with less than 10 games. In his 2 longer spells 10 in 50 for Hereford and 5 in 29 for Reading so not exactly setting the world on fire but fingers crossed in the right system he can hit a purple patch and bang in a few. If Clarke can stay fit and get 20 and this chap can add 10 with Baker getting another 10 or so as he did last season we're not looking too bad for goals. It's the other end we need to sort out as 6 conceded in 2 isn't a great start.

What a stupid view to have, how does him being on less wage than McDonald suggest he is worse?
