Let them stay! Ricoh owners hold last-ditch talks with Football League (3 Viewers)

The tax they pay wouldn't even make a dent in the £14m loan they've just had.

PS - the visitors to the Ricoh for the 'footy' [cringe] are there to see CCFC, not ACL.

The council does rather well out of the 14m loan, you know...and last time I checked, we support Coventry City FC, not SISU Northampton FC?

The worst thing is that PWKH has bought OSB!
His motive may have been to control him and gag the observations that he was making on this forum as much as give him work.
Is he really such an exceptional accountant? there are plenty of others out there to choose from. Didn't PWKH also try to sign up Gillfoyl? It all smells very bad to me!
Amazing that anybody on here tries to condone it!
Imagine if SISU had paid him off. The phrase "SISU rent boy" has been used here at the drop of a hat!

:pimp:

Yes, you can see why PWKH would want to gag OSB, what with his ceaseless supporting of SISU and there...oh..no, that doesn't make any sense at all, does it? :pimp:

The citizens of Coventry join together and experience the pleasure of watching the Sky Blues, using facilities within a 1/4 mile radius etc. The community asset also brings people to the city. Concerts, exhibitions, tennis tournaments etc.

I'm not sure many people go to the Ricoh thinking about how much the tax payer benefits. The Sky Blues Fan: After all said and done they are probably getting better value for money than spending £200 quid on fuel going to see City at Sixfields.(. How much tax do we pay on fuel?).

Possibly the most stupid post ever on this site - quite an achievement.

Grego, summerisle and others: I "employed" OSB for about an hour and a bit through the Alan Higgs Centre Trust (which has no employees) in order that he could attend the initial Creditors meeting held by the Administrators at the Coventry Hilton. I thought that it might be good if an independent, knowledgeable supporter was able to attend and ask questions. He could not have attended unless the AHCT had not engaged him professionally, and of course, there was no payment.

For the record the Higgs Charity has one part time employee, myself. The Charity has never employed OSB or his firm.

The truth is easy.

So the council as part owner doesn't receive profits from the arena? Therefore additional income for the council meaning more money for public services. Sisu get all the money, Joy can buy more tacky jewellery and trinkets! Sisu didn't have the opportunity years ago to buy the arena? Think you will find they did but didn't want to ! Also the judicial review - they were happy for the council to buy the mortgage when they were involved, yet all of a sudden when the council do it themselves all of a sudden it's illegal! What competition have they damaged? As far as I know there isn't another League 1 team in Coventry, but as you claim to be so erudite and no one else is on your intellectual level (sniggering at the ridiculousness of that concept - Grendel clever LOL) I might be mistaken.! Earth to Grendel

Please explain to me how the council profits are fed back to tax payers. Any profits are fed back into the private company ACL.

The council have borrowed £14 million of course.

While you are at it perhaps you can explain the cost of a roof as that was one of your big ideas.

I know you want respond you never do. You cower behind your computer waiting until I'm offline before posting.

Still love it that your on the other side of the argument. That alone proves I am right.

Really? So if a poster on here had once served for a sisu based company in a similar way would most in here think they were impartial?

The £14 million loan is being payed for by ACL at a rate that makes the council a profit. Fact

Lets get something very clear

I have never worked for ACL or any of the parties involved other than the one appointment to the Alan Higgs Trust a creditor of CCFC Ltd
I have never been paid in any way by any of the parties or individuals involved either in money or benefit in kind
I attended the first creditors meeting - as an advisor to the Alan Higgs Trust. The appointment was for that meeting only and there was no payment
The reason I got the appointment is because of my postings here which are based on my own professional qualifications
There was no interest to declare prior to that Fisher Forum meeting because none existed
I declared the interest in the Alan Higgs Trust for that one day. Which strangely enough also allowed me to assist the Sky Blue Trust in understanding the process
Yes I have been quiet to a degree - for instance I have been away on holiday, but i havent stopped posting, just posted when I have something to say rather than spend hours every day helping others to understand and having to repeat the same stuff over and over because some cant read the first post. I have a business to run and a family to look after. In reality very little has changed as far as what is going on at CCFC is concerned.
I have tried to keep any posts factual except when expressing opinions on players & squad.
I have no interest in engaging in the vitriol and spite peddled by some of the more active posters on this site
There have been no engagements accepted or offered since that one initial creditors meeting

I view some of the comments by others above as defamatory.

Appleton runs, the business until we are out of administration, which if ACL request their lawful 28 days to think cooling off period. that will be the 19th of August. It puts Appleton right on the spot, for a start he can play at the Ricoh for free. He knows he is under great pressure with this and his decision will get nationwide attention, I suggest we start re-routing the FL e mails to him.

Who's gonna play up front in Appleton's ccfc ltd FC?

Well said OSB58. Some very delusional people on here with more time than sense. I can't claim to understand half of what is going on but I'm just pleased that we have fans like OSB8 who can help explain it in fairly simple terms.

Helps people like me write better informed emails to FL, MPs etc. rather than unfounded rants.

I can't see any negatives in that!

Well said OSB.
If you'd like any support - legal or otherwise re the "defamation" I am sure you will find numerous posters capable of support.

It's very sad that some posters on here who are clearly unable to question OSB's comments on an intellectual level, try instead to make some kind of personal attack with unfounded comments.

No one is really making any accusations though are they?

The only point I actually find interesting is that anyone who now logs onto this site as a new member and dares to express any views that the baying mob disagrees with is immediately accused of being in sisu's payroll. One poster was actually told to leave the forum.

I actually don't care other than the double standards displayed on here by many posters (not the poster in question) No one can deny that of any posters on here who said they spent anytime with sisu in any capacity would be hounded of here for good.

So if in some ways I have offended OSB than I apologise as that is not my intention. Everyone has viewpoints but more and more those are clouded by accusations of absurd proportions which is certainly not a reflective view on other fans forums.

It's just getting tiresome.

Which is where it's uncomfortable territory for me. I don't disagree with your general point, but landing on someone whose argument it isn't and who, as you say, is actually someomne you can talk to with a different viewpoint and he'll talk back rather than insult, makes his unwitting involvement in the point unfortunate at best.

That comment is at best misleading & at worst defamatory and both PWKH and OSB58 would have a case as we know who both of them are. I would strongly suggest that you edit it or delete it - I am not a lawyer but I did do Media Law as a module on my degree.

Perhaps a better word than accusations would be insinuations.

Whether you think that's better or worse is a personal judgement.

I can believe that the intention of those making the comments was not to offend OSB, it was pretty clear that the intention was to try to cast doubt on his comments by casting doubt on his motivation. Given his record on this site, I think that's pretty poor.

By the way, in case my motivation is under question, I have never met OSB and have no idea who he is. However as a fellow accountant, I have nothing but respect for the diligence of the work that goes into many of his posts.

I wish you would leave the forum.

Your own posts or those that respond to you are responsible for 90% of the nastiness on this forum.

But as Grendel said it's only because you don't agree with his opinions that you want him/her to leave and it's happened a lot recently as earlier pointed out.

Utter drivel. Go and live in North Korea if you want everyone to have the same suppressed view points. I am on here to counteract the utter nonsense people like you try and influence others with on this forum.

Ignore him. Look at his posting history. He compares people who continue to support the club as like animals who get beaten by their owners but keep coming back for more. He accused me and Torch of being the same person and does seem to like James "I never talk anything about Coventry City" Smith.

He looks suspiciously to me like someone far more interested in the bricks and mortar and not the club. I will not let him get away with destabilising propaganda.
