Confirmed Signing Yann Gboho (14 Viewers)

Maddison was out for a year and a half and bossed the game. TBH match sharpness feels like a bit of a cop out.

To be fair he was up against a mostly Championship side. Not sure he'd have been as effective against a team like Arsenal or Brighton.

True, when the opposition sits deep and gives you time on the ball to pick your passes I'm not sure match sharpness really matters.

If we were pressing him quick and putting tackles in it may have been different.

It was perfect match for Maddison really to make his return

Agree with that albeit it’s a bit circular as you can then argue that someone like Gboho shouldn’t need to be match sharp to be a step up on a championship player.

He didn't start at Arsenal and was sent off against Brighton. The actual league minutes he's played is less than 3 games 🤡

Oh and he scored in the cup.Cup is irrelevant. So you agree he hasn't scored in those games. Others have scored in a lot less time on the pitch and haven't got sent off.

Any of that wrong?
It's brainlessly reductive sulking because people have the temerity to suggest a new signing is probably a more effective option than your precious Ellis Simms.

I like Simms, btw, I think he's been a good signing and is still a useful member of the squad. That's not the same as saying he should be first choice, however.

I haven't mentioned Simms, Lots struggling for game time, Torp, Hamer, 2 French lads. He looks unfit, could hardly run, the other day. Cherif should be first choice, which he is. Am I not allowed an opinion? Not sulking either.

We'll be in bigger trouble if we let players with attitude problems dictate how the team is run.
It is a fine line, clint - The punishment/rehabilitation plan.
Assuming it is more a sloppy attitude as opposed to all out mutiny and spreading disharmony, taking into account his first on cam piece upon arrival mentioning his love of pizza, a couple of extra laps around Ryton at the end of each training session and a couple of midweek shifts at Papa Johns should sort that lad out.

Wasn't it Cherif who said he loved pizza?

He's already proven in the Prem too with his first season at Forest - weird comment to say about there being no due dilligence

he’s scored 20 goals in the German PL as well. 15 in one season. It’s a dumb comment.

You would think he the first player to ever have a bad sub appearance. Do you think he meant it on purpose? Do you think there is no chance he will get back to form????

I just don't understand how football fans have changed so much due to the internet. Such cry babies.

You challenged posts that mentioned him and have a bit of an obsession with him generally, so it's pretty easy to read between the lines.

Yes, you're allowed opinions, but it's helpful to back them up with argument, not nonsense.

Glad you said it Shannerz. At one stage last season, I was convinced he was actually Simms himself. :ROFLMAO:

5 appearances, no goals. Looks like he couldn't run when came on as sub. I didn't mention him. No obsession. Plenty of others not getting much game time. Torp, Hamer, 2 French lads. In my previous post.

imagine being Simms, patient, sits in bench, comes in scores. Awonyi, gets sent off, daft challenge, 3
Game ban, gets rewarded over Simms. How does that happen? Awonyi looks like me, early 60s jogging.

“I haven’t mentioned Simms”

Most famous person seen in Nandos competition. I saw Olivier Giroud in Shepherds Bush Nandos and one of JLS (i don't know names) in Cheshunt Retail Park Nandos. Can anyone beat those?
Stephen Pressley and his son in Pizza Hut on a Sunday lunchtime. Before he got the boot obviously.

The reason Simms isn't playing imo is because he plays exactly where centre backs want him to be, he doesn't do enough to move them about and create spaces for others. Awoniyi when fit did this a lot better, pulling wide to bring the ball down and leaving spaces for team mates to move into.

But the actual winner has to be The Undertaker, i watched him eating at a Nando’s in Edinburgh.
