Who the hell else would we have played in the midfield 3? Hackney, Whittaker and Casteldine are injured.
Browne could have played despite playing games for Ireland as he wasn't long haul, and indeed he did, but other than that we'd be looking at Gilbert who is an emergency player really and McCabe from the kids who last played as a sub God knows when.

Millwall would have ripped that apart all game. Despite our midfield being severely reduced for the game it was still better than what we had otherwise. Take any championship club's top 5 midfielders out of the engine room and they'd be weak as piss in the centre of the park sadly. Just a combination of bad luck that our options were so depleted, but hopefully that "evens itself out" as they say going into the playoffs, with injuries galore for the other sides involved.

I'm not banking on it though!
Could have done an Arsenal on it

I believe our xG is actually higher than Boros anyway. Unfortunately for you and something i think people seem to forget is creating is only part of the battle, the hardest part is sticking the ball in the net, which we're also pretty good at.
Not sure if it is since Hellberg came (it might be tbf, I haven't checked) but our xG was never decent under Edwards as we were defensive as buggery.

Other than that though, you're not stating anything I didn't know about your strikers being better at sticking the ball in the net. That's glaringly obvious!🤣 I don't think most seem to forget that either, it's one of the fundamental principles of a match and certainly the bit people remember.

Which is why I said we needed to chuck the kitchen sink of cash at our strikeforce in the summer, which again is me stating the blindingly obvious this time too tbf🤣

Birmingham are so fucking shit. Imagine spending all that money on that dross.
As for Leicester, if they lose this, they are done surely. Home to Preston is about the best fixture you can have outside of the 3 point distribution machine that is Sheffield Wednesday.

Why would you be sorry?🤣
Today's result just cements your promotion and pushes you closer to the title, not that either were in doubt IMHO mind.

Should we not get through the playoffs though, I'd like Millwall and Hull to go up with you as I still don't want any parachute teams to do it.

It would be a breath of fresh air for the Prem, one in the eye of the supposed "Big Clubs" coming down and give uus more hope of getting up next year into the bargain.
Like your modesty 👍

I feel for you lot... Can't be nice.
We still have play some serious football and personally I think we'll stutter at some point in the run in.... Not many of our lot ...if any.... have been in this position before.

I'm nervous as hell ..... We aren't used to this!!
I think you'll not win a game or two that you'd normally expect to, for such is football, but I also don't think it will matter in the slightest to your going up and indeed your winning the league. And not by a single point or GD for that matter either. I think you'll still do it comfortably.

However, in your shoes I'd probably still be nervous as hell and indeed if Boro had such a lead on the rest of the teams at the top next season with this many games left, I'd still be bricking it. This is just due to being kicked in the bollocks so many times as a Boro fan really, so it's what I expect.

When you're able to look at it from an outside perspective, you often get a clearer more balanced view, which is why from when I first started posting on here late last year I think, over January and into the first half of Feb when a lot on here were despairing I maintained you'd be going up this year, even if some found that a ridiculous notion?

I was just able to look at Coventry objectively, whereas obviously you're all more emotionally invested.

Pretty much as you were at the bottom apart from Blackburn almost taking themselves out of it. Oxford will be disappointed not to have beaten Hull i think, looks like they had the better of it.

If he wasn't already half way out the door, Chris Davies at Brum is almost certainly gone now.

Wonder if they'll can him early or wait till seasons done? They've almost certainly begun their search I'd have thought.
Theylle just send the peaky Blinders around to his house
