As I said in a earlier post! Playing Morris and Macree after stepping off a long haul is a mistake as they were running through treacle 2nd half
Who the hell else would we have played in the midfield 3? Hackney, Whittaker and Casteldine are injured.
Browne could have played despite playing games for Ireland as he wasn't long haul, and indeed he did, but other than that we'd be looking at Gilbert who is an emergency player really and McCabe from the kids who last played as a sub God knows when.

Millwall would have ripped that apart all game. Despite our midfield being severely reduced for the game it was still better than what we had otherwise. Take any championship club's top 5 midfielders out of the engine room and they'd be weak as piss in the centre of the park sadly. Just a combination of bad luck that our options were so depleted, but hopefully that "evens itself out" as they say going into the playoffs, with injuries galore for the other sides involved.

I'm not banking on it though!

Boing Boing... Baggies winning so far for a double-bubble :

A) Leicester losing so increasing the gap for their safety.

B) Wrexham losing.

But I see Wrexham have pulled one back since I started typing. Sad face emoji.

Stat merchants. We'll celebrate our title and our bucket loads of goals while they get milked dry over their xG and how many touches they get in the opposition box.
xG whilst far from the accurate stat of how well a team does almost certainly indicates fairly accurately one of 2 things; if your goals scored are far exceeding it, it shows that whilst the rest of your side could be average, overall your strikers are clinical.and superb at this level, like Hull for example. If they're far below it, then it shows whilst most of your outfield players are top notch, your strikers are pretty pathetic, like ourselves.

At least our xG shows the midfield aren't doing much wrong, especially given their depletion today. And our performances are decent too. As for strikers though, Good God...😳

We just need to throw the kitchen sink worth of cash at the striking department for next year and hope that's the final piece of the jigsaw sorted. Can't imagine many strikers at this level not wanting to play for us next year too as they know they'd have tonnes more opportunities to score bucketloads and make a name for themselves than at most other clubs in this league now, unlike in the last summer's recruitment.

Armstrong never is and never was the answer though and certainly not for the had your pants pulled down figure that players get touted for in January.

Why would you be sorry?🤣
Today's result just cements your promotion and pushes you closer to the title, not that either were in doubt IMHO mind.

You've not been fucked over by us mind, we've done everything in our power to get you up for a few seasons now🤣

Should we not get through the playoffs though, I'd like Millwall and Hull to go up with you as I still don't want any parachute teams to do it.

It would be a breath of fresh air for the Prem, one in the eye of the supposed "Big Clubs" coming down and give uus more hope of getting up next year into the bargain.

commentator still saying best footballing team in the championship 😂
This is what’s irritated me about Boro and why I don’t even want them to go up. They may even end up finishing 4th place, Ipswich will have too much at home.

Besides, what metrics are they better than us?
- scored 21 more goals
- better home record
- better away record
- higher than them in the xG table
- they’ve conceded 1 less goal…

The love in has been a bit embarrassing, frankly.

Some gems from Foxes Talk:

Absolute gift that even Daka couldn’t miss….. need a cleanie now

Preston really are shite aren’t they

These are properly on the beach

These are so bad. Like 80% of opposition you see in this league. How did we get it this wrong?

I hope all these chances missed don't cost us

Shouldn't count unless it's 3 inches over, imo.

I believe our xG is actually higher than Boros anyway. Unfortunately for you and something i think people seem to forget is creating is only part of the battle, the hardest part is sticking the ball in the net, which we're also pretty good at.

I feel for you lot... Can't be nice.
We still have play some serious football and personally I think we'll stutter at some point in the run in.... Not many of our lot ...if any.... have been in this position before.

I'm nervous as hell ..... We aren't used to this!!
