The only hope with Rushworth staying is if he demands he wants to sign for us.

If Brighton were smart, they would give us another season on loan.

Matt O'Reily from Brighton { our feeder club;)} very experienced was on loan with Marseille but back with Brighton
Need a centre half and possibly 2 strikers

One plus that FL has over premier league managers. if we are promoted, is a knowledge of the championship. Players like Hughes and James are just names to most manager but FL knows them, and their potential, first hand.

After listening to a few 'experts' pundits I really think, for us, this is key. Last year we were missing a link and brought in Grimes and he changed us. this year we have brought in Frank the tank and he has added something, and we have to remember Frank couldn't get into the Brentford team but he is of a different level. So who would/should/could we get?
Everyone is saying Sunderland did the right thing by bringing Xhaka in, so we need someone like him? How about Henderson? Been with us many moons ago but could have a real impact on the dressing room. We need an elder statesman who can bring in something special, someone like a Frank Lampard.

Not a statement signings but Chris Wood might be worth a look as a squad player. Season before last was close to being the top scorer in the Premier league and would suit our formation. Experience too.
Micheal Keane from Everton a CB upgrade if we sell wolfie or Kitching. Think he is on a free this summer and Everton have always had excellent defensive numbers.

Chris Wood would be a nailed on starter if he came, he’s a reliable mid-table striker let alone avoid relegation

Chris Wood would be a nailed on starter, the only reason he's not playing for Forest is he's been out injured for 5 months with with a knee injury. He's only just on his way back now. They have missed him.

Don't see us steering hard away from the strategy under King and Austin to date. Taking risks on players that haven't played much football and / or have sketchy injury records hasn't been our speed.

Expecting more expensive, more proven versions of the Euro signings i.e. Haji, MVE, Sakamoto, Torp mixed with less obvious low cost / freebies from the Prem like Dasilva and Lati were from this league.

Basically, need people who watch loads of Euro football or know how to use data scout websites to post random suggestions for me to get excited about - think Transfermarkt valuations of €10-20m.

Edit: looked through a list of potential Prem free agents and I could only see see two or three that would make any sense and all of them were at Brentford! e.g. Janelt, Henry, Jensen. Nevermind.
