2024/25 League 1 Champs?

may have already been said, but isn’t it as simple as win today and both Boro and Ipswich would have to win 4 from 6 to catch us (bearing in mind they play each other) on the basis we didn’t pick up any more points this season?

not difficult to pass the ball a few metres sideways or backwards. Today 70% possession, over 700 passes - 3 shots on target. Similar stats when they came to us. Luckier today they got a point.
Beating them 3-1 when we did completely knocked the wind out of their sails

They still dominating games. Mostly draws rather than losses. Think they will pick up again before end of season. It's close though between the 3 below us. All have arguments for and against them being the favourites to join us

I make Boro favourites given Ipswichs' fixtures but if Millwall go to Boro and win it'll be huge.

We have given the league the tactics to use against Boro.

Stay deep and compact, let them pass it about in front of you with no real penetration and go direct against their soft underbelly.

I hope Ipswich Millwall is drawn. We beat Swansea. You stuff Millwall. We both open up a bigger gap and let them fight it out in the play offs. Best of luck.
Dream over back to reality.
Enjoy the ride.

What's your thoughts on your game today?
The usual of late.

Here's the over-riding thought on this game, summed up neatly in the half time stats;

Over twice as much possession.

Six times as many corners.

Seven times as many shots.

Ten times as many touches in their box.

TWENTY ONE times the xG.

Still Nil fucking Nil.

All over the rest of the pitch, we're absolutely mint. In front of our opponents goal we couldn't finish a one man game of "Snap".

IIts crackers to think of the difference a decent striker at this level would have made.Yet 6 of our players (more importantly somehow BOTH our main forwards, God knows what their respective international managers have been watching!) have been selected to play for their countries over this international break?

Perhaps the change of scenery will do them good and I can at least hope that we're doing a "Typical Boro" and throwing points away against shite, before putting in a completely unrecognisable show in front of goal against Millwall, and Ipswich down the line.

But it's frustrating more than anything. Hellberg could be Pep Guardiola and there would still be nothing he could do about forwards who couldn't score in a women's prison if they had a kilo of Class A's strapped to their tackle.

Those are my thoughts.

I put Millwall down for autos a while ago and stand by it. If they avoid defeat at Boro they’ve got a great run of fixtures and they just look like they’re playing with less pressure than the other two.

Poor forwards or not have to believe sooner or later these chances get finished? Obviously easier for me than a boro fan to say but I think you will get winning again soon

Only caught the second half, but Ipswich were shite.

What a day of results already, takes the pressure off our game a little.
A game of two halves, as they say. Millwall couldn’t get out of their own half in the first 45. Didn’t watch the second half but was surprised (and delighted) to see that Millwall had equalised.

Taggart doing ht analysis on Leicester TV, which is appropriate because given the mood in the studio, it'll looks like 'there's been a mudder'

If Millwall and Ipswich are still in with a shout of catching us, are Southampton now in a position to make a run for 2nd spot?

They have 7 winnable fixtures including Ipswich at home, so is it still doable for them?
