I hear people saying they hope its Blackburn, 7,000 strong visiting contingent
I say fuck that , rather clinch it at home with 30,000 of us there to enjoy it
100%. No chance I’ll get a Blackburn ticket. I want to be there.

I think 4 wins, a draw and 4 defeats (which takes us to 90 points) guarantees us the title, although I accept we may not need that many unless two of the three contenders behind us go on great runs until the end of the season. Three wins and six defeats probably gets us promoted, although it could get a bit squeaky in the posterior 😊

If it happens, savour every minute of it cause unless we somehow pull a major trophy out of our backsides in our lifetime I doubt the feeling as a CCFC fan will ever be topped

Even if we come back down and won promotion again I doubt it would feel half as good or mean as much, this feels like it has the potential to be the culmination of all the shite we put up with for 20yrs and all the near misses of the last few seasons

To me, it's starting to feel more surreal as the closer it gets, we have waited years for a proper city celebration, I know the checkatrade win at Wembley was great, playoffs league 2 was awesome, we didn't get to celebrate properly the league 1 title so this if we do win the championship title to get promoted to the premier league will be absolutely off the scale.
My son's birthday is April 11th so I hope we bagged the title then...

The title confirmed before the wrexham game then beat Wrexham with a party atmosphere whilst stopping them from getting the playoff place would be lovely. Imagine Sky and the media crying that Hollywood didnt make the playoffs because of us

That would be brilliant, it would show those Hollywood attention Seekers how to get promoted without spending shit loads of money.

Beat Southampton and realistically it would take an incredible collapse to not go up. We’d probably have to average less than a point per game in the last 8 with Sheff Weds still to play at home. Next 4 is a tricky run on paper but we have the belief, we’re playing well and we’re getting results. I think it’ll be confirmed after Portsmouth at home.

I think we might lose to Swansea. On a good run. Dark horses for playoffs

Would take two draws in a row right now but a win Vs soton this weekend be great

I never have a good feeling about Friday/Saturday/Monday night away games. Always feels like the home crowd really gets up for them and it makes it tough for the away team.

I just want to keep winning. Get rid of any lingering anxiety and turn the last few games into a procession.

Be interesting to see how they get on tonight.

Lose against Wrexham and they would be 8 points behind them with 8 games left.

Be a massive ask for a promotion push then.

A win obviously puts them just 2 points behind. Real 6 pointer for them tonight and could be a season ender

I keep thinking of Sheffield Utd last year getting to 92 points and not making the automatics. I know the circumstances were different and we are the Leeds rather than the Milwall but I wont be able to enjoy this until we are a couple of of points to go with a handful of games left- Im convinced one of the chasing 3 will go on an amazing run and keep us sweating (although all 3 surely wont)

Just doesn’t feel Coventry to do it comfortably does it? Few mates of other teams are getting annoyed at me because I won’t say I think we’re promoted. I think ultimately I won’t truly believe until it’s actually confirmed no matter how likely.

Post-Preston game is the first time I've let myself begin to believe we'll get promoted. However, I did think this was a touch presumptuous from the Coventry Telegraph aha

In this year's scenario we are Leeds or Burnley and its likely that Boro or Ipswich will be the ones to miss out with a high points total. Also, its almost impossible for 2 of the teams below us to achieve 93 points.

I just don't see how 2 out of the 3 chasers get to 90. They have all those head to heads for one so points will be dropped.

Ipswich's April fixtures look hideous. Millwall have to go to both them and Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough themselves have just failed to beat Charlton, Leicester and Oxford in their last 3 home games.

Ipswich need 25 from 10, Millwall 22 from 9, Middlesbrough 21 from 9.

If that happens and on top of that we fail to win 4 of our last 9 when 5 are at home and we have 80 points from 33 home games under Lampard then I'll just find a new hobby as I'll be through with football forever.

Clinch promotion at Blackburn, but the title at the CBS (although wouldn't be too sad if it was the other way round!)

I'm still in the mindset of looking at future opponents (Swansea this evening) and thinking come on Wrexham, kick lumps out of them, and wanting injuries to Vipotnik etc, Not sure we need that sort of help now, but I'm still looking for it, until we're over the line! By the way, if we are up/Champions by the time we play Wrexham, I really want us to smash them (and not be on the beach) I'd hate for us to give them a leg up into the autos.

It's the kind of shite that can back and bite you on the arse, isn't it.

One thing I'll say is I don't believe for a second that Lampard is allowing the players to think that way. He's far too experienced of being in this position to not instill that there's a lot of work to do yet.

I don't care where we end up clinching it if we do; I just want us to clinch it as soon as possible, so I can stop fretting about it.
