Disagree, we have played some very nice stuff at home. Agree that we have been ‘efficient’ on the road.

Not saying its been completely poor, but definitely not what it was earlier in the season.
Boro have been playing the best football I've seen in the league recently.

I'm not complaining, I was one of the ones calling for a more pragmatic approach.

That's got to be too low surely?
Well I guess look at it like this.

Millwall have 9 games left, which is a maximum of 27 points.

But they have Boro and Ipswich both away, as well as a few relegation battlers who could steal a win.

Lose 3 of those and they can only get 18 points, which puts them on 86.

Here he is

Devastated with the late goal and how it came about
Outstanding character second half deserved to win
Soft penalty and bringing up Leicester game beyond irony
Frustrated didn’t handle last few minutes
Wind upset the team
Fair play him giving the interview

Lol!!!!!
Just buy some Rennie's.

So what’s the best scenario from the milwall v Ipswich and mboro games, 2 draws or who gives a shit ?

Best outcome for us is as follows:
- Millwall beat Ipswich & Boro
- Ipswich best Boro

Millwall and now Ipswich max points for the remaining 9/10 games is 95 points. Boro’s is 99 points, 96 is Ipswich beat them. To get to 96 points and all but guarantee we win the league, we need 22 points (7-1-2).

In reality, 96 will overcook the actual points requirement imo. If we get to 92+ points, we’ll win the league by a comfy margin (6 wins).

Wouldn't we want all draws?

Strictly speaking, yes if we’re min-maxing the outcome. Our immediate priority is to pull away from Boro and then losing to Millwall in 2 weeks is optimal for us and depending how the results pan out, an Ipswich win v Boro may actually be the day we all but confirm we’ve won the league/prooted.

Current state of affairs:
Cov - 74 pts, 104 max
Boro - 69 pts, 99 max
Millwall - 68 pts, 95 max
Ipswich - 65 pts, 95 max

If Millwall, Ipswich and Boro teams draw their games each other, each team loses 4 points from their maximum so 95 and 91 respectively.

A scenario where Millwall beats Ipswich and Boro, then Ipswich beat Boro. The maximums look like:
- Millwall - 95 pts max
- Boro - 93 max
- Ipswich - 92 max

Objectively, Millwall are still the weakest team in the Top 4 and I’d expect them to drop the most points outside of their ties. In short, I’m not worried about them.
