Some of the players mentioned on here are beyond us, even if we go up. Summerville for example will be on silly mpney, plus will have suitors from established PL clubs. I would consider Watford have a handful of promising players. Azeex at Millwall looks decent. Value for money is probably in Europe though.

Just as interesting will be the model we adopt …. Young foreign with high potential ala Sunderland or best of Championship as per Ipswich … or a sprinkling of proven senior pros to add experience to the talent as per Brighton

OK fair, id agree there aren't many. Of the ones I named only Fatawu and Philogene would have been there probably and I'm slightly on the fence about Philogene. Brooks would have been a kid at Blunts, Scienza wasn't at Southampton... so yeh I guess I kind of agree.

I think Fatawu is a good shout at RW, still young and developing. Brooks and Scienza I’m not sure, always think of Jack Clarke who is great at this level but not above it.

I think if it were me I’d prioritise a beast of a CF like that Denkey lad, similar in defence, maybe from one of the relegated clubs or a European, and someone who can take outstanding set pieces and I’d build us around that. Fairly direct, a threat at corners and free kicks, two or three long throw specialists in the squad (which we’ve got already tbf).

On set pieces I like the Moroccan LB at Utrecht who has 10 assists this season and Leeds and West Ham have been linked with. Available on a free too.

Then an elite shot stopper, hopefully Rushworth but got a feeling Brighton will want to keep him.

Just missing a CM, Hackney would be ideal if Boro don’t go up, otherwise look at Europe again maybe.

I’ve seen a couple put Monga is it to spite them as I haven’t seen him do much in this league plus he annoys me always has his hands in his sleeves.

I want Kerem Akturkoglu. Could we take a player from Fenerbahce?

Hamer, got to be done. Tell him he can come home if he commits to sorting his lifestyle out. Pay for a personal chef even, peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

He clearly has the talent but not the discipline but with the right support that sorted. His numbers in the Prem were decent a shite side

Was contemplating, during the SU game, how long it would take Frank et al to get him back to a decent level of fitness.

If he was signed early in the summer, maybe properly fit by October? Would need to factor that into any deal though.

I think our no.1 priority should be getting an absolutely top quality CB to lead the defence. Strong and quick.

Why couldn't we?
Its just a question on where lower level Prem teams stand against top teams from leagues such as Turkey. I wouldn't expect the likes of Jhon Duran or Oshimen to rock up at Cov so likely not as straight forward as your comment.

We will have bags of money. If we want vini jnr we get vini jnr. It's that simple.

You guys picking scienza over vini jnr or lamin yamal. You guys on crack?! 😁

Its exciting whatever we do. The Prem has changed so much since we were last there, we'll spend money we've never seen spent before. Buzzing for it, really hope we can get this done ASAP so I can chill the fuck out.

I think we have to respect whichever way king goes about it. He will have his reasons. People need to stop second guessing him. We have just had 2 brilliant transfer windows in a row and all people could do was moan. Can imagine how the summer before premier league would go can't you?

Personally? I want us to spend. Not like a oil tycoon but try bring in top talent from all over the world. Aim to finish midtable rather than resign ourselves to being near the bottom ala Burnley and hoping we get lucky.

Any West Ham Burnley or Wolves players we fancy? I think that’s more fertile ground TBH.

Assuming none of the 3 sides the below play for go up, which is probably unlikely, I’d be really happy with any of these. However I think all will have PL suitors already.
Azeez
Hackney
Hughes

If we were to sign an ex-player from Sheffield United, I'd prefer O'Hare over Hamer tbh.

Don't think we'd go for either though

Not parachute but I’d take Louza, Hackney,Azeez.

We need to be purchasing proven top flight players and internationals from around the globe looking to make a name for themselves in the Premiership with the hope of proving themselves to much bigger established clubs.

What about Brookes, Hamer and O'Hare as squad players?

It would help to reinforce the Blades position as one of our feeder clubs 🤣

I've always liked the look of Ampadu at Leeds, they'll probably stay up though.

With the way Chelsea cycle through players would Delap be available for a loan?

Scienza from Southampton if they don’t go up I’m almost certain would be on the list. If I remember correctly both he and Lampard talked very highly of each other after the Southampton away game.

Quality keeper would be my priority if we can’t keep Rushworth.

Now I hate doing this considering we aren’t promoted yet but let’s do a breakdown of the current squad and what we can expect should we go up

GK:
Rushworth we will absolutely try to sign and I’d imagine will cost us the best part of £20m
Dovin will be back up if his rehab goes fine
Wilson will leave

Therefore I can’t see there being much change here

RB:
MVE will be the starter without doubt
I think KKH will be the backup

CB:
Thomas will 100% be used
Kitching I think will be in the squad
Lati will be sold
Woolfenden will be sold

I’d imagine therefore we will try and sign some experience, and a young prospect

LB:
I think JDS will stay as a backup and we will sign a new starting LB

Bidwell and Brau will both go

Midfielders is a difficult one. It depends if we stay using a number 10 or Frank goes more conservative and has 3 more traditional midfielders.

Grimes will stay is my suspicion, but could see him getting loaned to a relegated Prem Team

Onyeka will sign for the £8m or so.

Eccles i suspect will stay, as will Torp

Rudoni will stay and likely start

Allen will leave.

I suspect we will bring in a talismanic CM to play the Grimes role, and potentially a number 10

RW
I think Sakamoto will stay, and we have to assume Markelo will be in the squad. I don’t think we sign anyone here

LW:
EMC will play but not start, i’d imagine we will sign a big player here.

ST:
Haji will stay

BTA and Simms I expect to leave for around £10m combined.

I think we will sign an expensive forward from overseas similar to Sunderland signing Brobbey, and a younger prospect.

Therefore I think we can expect:

CB x2
LB
CM
CAM
LW
ST x2

This is after we will spend the £25m or so needed for Rushworth or Onyeka.

From letting players go I would think we could cover at least half of that.

The remaining 8 i would imagine would be a mix of frees, loans and a spend of £60-80m
