There's a big week of games coming up which will change the top of the table.

Monday Birmingham v Middlesbrough. If Middlesbrough don't win they will be 7 or 8 points plus a massive GD behind us.

Tuesday Ipswich v Hull. Ipswich have to win to have a decent chance of catching us. Hull have to win to keep in the chase. A draw would be perfect.

Saturday Hull v Millwall. This could well be the game that puts the race down to the mighty Sky Blues, Middlesbrough and Ipswich and they still have to play each other. The run in has definitely started.

Ipswich v Boro to end as a draw would be ideal. Draws in some of the others too depending on points tallies.

I think 87 will be enough.

Assuming Sheffield Wed home win, 3 additional more wins plus 4 draws.

Noticeable every team who seems to fancy their chances for autos or play offs all won yesterday somehow even if not at their best.

Shame Portsmouth lost, want them on the beach. Hopefully Bristol C and Swansea too.

It’s based on how many of the chasing pack have to play each other in not many games. Suppose we end up with 86, with the goal difference any team bar perhaps Ipswich will need 87 to overtake us. That in turn means two clubs winning at least 8 of the remaining 11/12 fixtures.

This obviously isn’t impossible but it requires almost perfect form.
Both Ipswich and Middesbrough are performing at least 2 points a game for the last 10

Ipswich likely to play 3 times before we play Preston (not writing off Vale turning over Bristol City though, free hit for them on a bog of a pitch). Big ask for them to win all 3, but not impossible to imagine. Will put us under pressure for sure. We're in an amazing position, but a lot can happen. That said, for both Boro and Ipswich to catch us is looking increasingly unlikely.

Problem as soon as you’re top you’re a target, teams are upping their game,if they can’t beat us they are doing their best to stop us. We’d be exactly the same. There will be no easy games, we’re going to have to earn every point.

I’ve got us down for about 18 points over these last games. Think there will be a bunch of battling draws as we play a few teams with something to play for.

89 points at the end, which is the same as what I'd predicted a while back. I had Boro down to get 91, but that was assuming they'd beat both Oxford and Lesta.

Let's see what the table looks like first. They play each other towards the end of the season.

We're on just over 2 ppg. Middlesbrough are 1.85ppg before their game at Birmingham and Ipswich are on 1.81 ppg. If they don't close the gap on this it could well be down to just 2 of us by then. Middlesbrough certainly need to turn their form around quickly considering their last 2 games were at home against 22nd and 23rd in the table for a total of 1 goal and 2 points.

Fail to win tomorrow and it's suddenly 4 without a win having previously won 6 on the bounce. The league is wild though, they could just as easily then win the 6 after that.

In serious 'time running out' stage.
That's why I say the run in has already started. Our last 4 wins have put us in a great position and the sides behind us can't afford to get a worse result than us now. Both sides need 2 more wins than us with more games to play. Them 11 points between us and Ipswich are massive.

I think our last 5 fixtures the teams we play have nothing to play for in terms of play off and relegation. Even Wrexham will be in or out by the time we play them and they will want to rest players ahead of a play off semi.

Hasn’t the season already ended?
