Only negative for me today was that

1) he wasn't last one out. Why is mifsud a bigger closing act???

2) he didn't get a massive standing ovation. He did get a cheer but he deserved a standout one.

Be nice if he could have come out alone just before kick off when crowd packed.

This wouldn't be happening right now without him

Minor gripe I know but still if you reading this we love you captain!

I’d say Michael Doyle was the major catalyst of getting out of league 2 more so than Liam tbh.

But I do get your point, fantastic servant for the club. It refreshing to see so many players of recent year surpass 100 appearances for the club and really goes to show how far we’ve come over the last 10 or so years.

Kelly also went on to help us get out of league 1

And almost captained us to the premier league and an fa cup final
Yup

I know it's cheesy but in NHL teams have given one day contracts so a player retires with the team he was most known for. In a non cynical world we have Kelly sign for a minute in the premier league

Alas it won't happen. But we won't forget his contributions to this club just like robins

Loved seeing him again today. That parade at half time is so rushed. There isn’t enough time to properly give the players an individual welcome. I’d loved to have sung a chorus of the Doyle and Kelly song again. Maybe the parade could happen before the game and a few interviews or something at halftime?

I thought this. Kelly is more deserving of this day than 80% of that lineup

Fully agree, he deserves proper recognition for his contribution. Club captain for a massive part of our resurgence.

Also would have liked the chance to properly acknowledge others, be it for their role in our current journey or in previous chapters.

It was too rushed, it wasn’t in time and the sound system was shite.

Liam Kelly got the biggest cheer in the Premier lounge today. 😊

Rob or Lorna (I forgot) said the reason MM was last out was because MM had travelled over from Malta

That Bournemouth away day where that song is still a good memory
Absolutly.. I was more impressed that the official parking right next to the ground was 50p. Prob because you risked your car getting hit by a stray ball as that stand behind the goal still hadnt been built (i think)

You’re right it wasn’t there then, here’s one of the photos I took on the night. Great away day, stayed in Weymouth over night and couldn’t believe how cold it was the next morning 😂
