I want us to be going for it and clocking wins as quickly as possible. Players should be feeling confident and enjoy themselves out there.

I want us to be targeting 90points to ensure the job is done.
With all of the teams below us still to play each other we won’t need 90 points

What a quote from the Stoke forum this is...

"Apart from scoring goals is there so much between these two teams? The way we played in the first 10-12 games + a lot of first half performances where we have played really well show we can compete with Coventry. We will need to keep a clean sheet or not concede more than one to get a result out of this, but I'd say they aren't that superior player for player"

Also, I know it seems to be met with some ridicule on here, but Robins is a club legend. He almost single handedly changed our destiny, if you disagree you’re either wummimg or an idiot.

I’m sure he wished he got us promoted and it would have been amazing to see him finish the L2 - > Prem journey. I’m sure he has all the emotions today.

Lampard deserves all the plaudits as/when he gets us promoted - he’s been an incredible job, but the work that came before him shouldn’t be forgotten.

No

Johansen would have walked in Pre-Rushworth, if worst come to worst and we failed to go up he would be one of the first players I would sign next season
Surely there is a reason hes never made a premier league appearance .. hes a good keeper but i think so so overrated by championship fans

Rotheham and stoke the past 6 years hes 27

Delusion is high
Over 10 games one team can get lucky over another team not over 34

All games are competitive and we need to play well to win that’s not in dispute

Our Swedish keeper if he gets back to his best has the potential to be better than him

I'm nervous about today's match, although to be honest I think that's going to be the case for the rest of the season now. The final run-in is fast approaching and every game is starting to feel like a cup final.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma about Oneyeka. I tend to agree with those who think he needs a rest but he has already shown what an important player he is for us. I'd probably start with him but bring Eccles on around 55-60 minutes or even at half time if we lead by, say, a couple of goals.

I can't believe what strength in depth we suddenly seem to have, now that our illness and injury problems have - for the time being at least - gone away and we have had a good January window. It's insane that, in midfield, we can have Torp, Eccles and Allen on the bench or, in the case of Allen, not even in the match day squad.

PUSB!
I am a bit nervous today too.

Think it could be scrappy. That nearly always levels the playing field a bit.

Some take this, wow.

On robins, old ground, he’s a legend, a proper legend for what he achieved. Things can end but doesn’t need to change what went before or the need to pick holes in him.

Lampard success is broadly from MR et al foundations.

These are professional athletes who train all week just for the 90 minutes on match day. Its what they dream of. They can surely hack 3 games in a week. All this rest and rotation malarkey is massively over-engineering imho. Its for fantasists.

They are winning games so will all be as high as a kite

Keep the winning team unless injuries get in the way like with Wright

But knowing Robins he might throw a curve ball. So I expect a hard game against a packed defence like Oxford. 1-0.

Said it before Sheff U and same today; having squad depth doesn’t mean we have to change the starting XI.

Keep the winning team, go at them early and make substitutions early. Knowing it won’t be at a detriment to the team and we can adapt tactically as required.
I agree, but FL doesn't seem the type to make early subs. If it's going well, why change it. If it's going badly, need to stick to the plan.

But yeah, if he is willing to make subs before 60mins then definitely go the same.

This is the kind of thing people say before complaining during the match that we're putting in a lethargic performance and lacking energy.
