Gotta say, the Chinese new year limited edition stuff looks fucking horrific this year.

Was in the City centre earlier and looked at the new range in the club shop. Not my kind of thing. How many limited ranges can they come up with in one season?

Not sure it's an issue, people don't have to buy them and if it gets money into the club.

Some nice retro shirts but, I refuse to get one because of the shit Club badge on them. 😡

That Chinese New Year range is pretty sizeable, does that mean the one last year actually sold well?

I still think this is one of the worst retail decisions in recent times. We never wore this in white (only green and red). its basically a Spurs kit. I've still not seen anybody wearing one, have they sold any at all?!

Annoyingly I'd have bought a green or red one.

This was actually on sale in the 80s.
I had - and still have it!
It was pretty rare and I was saving it to cash in on to help my annual holiday fund ...
Cheers CCFC!!😭😭

Yep-puts me off some of the stuff aswell with the “shadow” badge. Don’t really like the normal badge if it’s just stuck on either as you know that eventually they are going to peel.
What happened to the good old fashioned embroidery? 😀

Said it before,
They've over done it on training gear and under done it on kits.

Anybody that was going to spend £70 on an anthem jacket would have done so now on either the home/away /third.... can't see anyone going, "yeah, I'll spend another £70 on a different one with birds on it!"

Yet they have had people begging for kits over Christmas....

I know we like to think they are all idiots but they aren't churning out this stuff week after week if people aren't buying it.

They announce a new 'limited edition' walk out top and they have people queueing from the early hours to buy it before they've even seen what it looks like!

As with everything it will stop when people stop buying the shit they put out.

It was definitely on sale. I own it. But you are right - I'm not entirely convinced the white (grey) version was ever worn.
I may have a photo somewhere - but in the process moving house at the minute so can't dig the actual shirt out.

Looks in great condition, surely we must have worn it at some stage then, although I’ve got a Hummel tracksuit top I bought for my daughter and I’m not sure if the team ever worn that either, thanks again for the picture

We never wore white in a match. Only green or red.

To be fair neither do the ‘normal’ retro 88 kits either. I didn’t realise til I saw a proper one that was my mates brother’s.
Yeah they do, the badges on the Hummel retro shirts are correct. My issue with gk one is it should have the fac winners scroll if they are claiming it’s an 87/88 shirt.

Deal is up with Hummel at the end of the year and nothing been confirmed yet. Was a rumour in the club shop about a new supplier (Nike) but doubt the staff would know for any certainty

Nike would be an awful choice. As would be a crapy template again. Unless this time it would be a deal with Nike direct rather than a supplier like Justsport.

Nike only have 3 prem teams what's surprisingly low.

I would not be surprised if Adidas are not intreated esp with Lampart links.

As long as its not Castore/Umbro

Assume it would be with Nike direct. Agreed on the last bit. Castore quality would make Hummel’s look worldclass

Didn't Doug have a meeting with them to discuss quality & late supply of shirts etc? I think we will still be using them next season.
I think it was billed as something like "exciting new retail opportunity". As the meeting was in Denmark it's hopefully with them directly as a tier 1 club, rather than through the UK licensee. I think it's the UK end where the issues lie currently.

Even the Nike "elite" team kits are pretty poor nowadays imo.
Agree with Castore too, they're terrible.

Kappa and Macron do some nice kits if we're leaving Hummel. I'd imagine we'll renew though
