Away at the Blunts is probably about as tough as it gets for us for the remainder of the season. Anything we pick up is a bonus. If we win there i'll be buzzing. If we win there off the back of Ipshit losing at Watford, i'll wank myself into oblivion.

On PPG alone there’s a few clubs with better home records that we’ve got left to play. Agree though if we win and Ipswich lose then I think we’re pretty much there for autos barring another Xmas style slide.

Millwalls next few fixtures are pretty terrible too , just cant see them staying the course

Can't be many since Wilder came back mind. The PPG will be held back a lot by that clown they employed who's name I've genuinely forgotten and cba to look up.

Debating things to do with your football team on your football teams forum! Crazy.
I don't even think there's much to debate.

Absolutely huge contribution to the club that can't be questioned. Decision to part ways has now been vindicated.

Anyone arguing the opposite on either is just objectively wrong really.

Millwall just win 3 then lose 4 - they can’t get any consistency at all. It’s between 3 teams really. I can’t see us winning on Wednesday but if we did then I think that’s a significant result in the race

The dodgiest decision of the League Two playoffs was our penalty to make it 1-1 in the first leg. They probably should have won 1-0 which would have changed the dynamic of the second leg.

Doesn't matter but surprised it hasn't been mentioned

With who Ipswich has to left to play in particular I find it hard to believe they won't drop points between now and the end of the season. I wouldn't say the Sheff U game tomorrow night is the be all and end all if it doesn't go our way.

In terms of the tougher games they have: Watford, Swansea, Hull, Millwall, Birmingham, Norwich, Middlesbrough who are all either in good form / in and around the top 6.

Annoyingly I think most of those are at home where they're strong but still a few of the above will inevitably cause them problems.

Fair point, and no I can’t be arsed to check but a quick glance suggests it’s only Boro who have beaten them recently. Watford have a very good record and Swansea, who we never beat it seems.

Yeh agree, those 3 do seem to be the toughest on paper. Fingers crossed its wrapped up before Watford.

Bookies, stat sites etc have Sheff Utd slight favourites tomorrow - could be the last game of the season we're not favoured?

Does feel like a set of fixtures where Boro/Ipswich would be hoping to make up points.

I said on another thread, but if, big if, Ipswich lose tonight and we win tomorrow, we're in an incredibly good position.
I don't see it as a big if. A win for Watford wouldn't be a surprise. They have the 3rd best home record after us and Middlesborough. If we contain Hamer we take away most of the threat of Sheffield United. Their recent results have been mainly against lower sides and Middlesborough mad them look poor at their place a few games ago.

We won 22, what of it? The reality is that we achieved a playoffs quite comfortably. Both times we’ve been in the Championship playoffs it was more of a close run thing going into the final day.

Compare that to last season, the final day was a winner takes all match v Boro. Morecambe that season needed a draw, so did we so both teams played out a dour draw.

Getting out of League 2 at the first time of asking is a big deal. It didn’t happen v often and we were only a handful of teams to do it over a decent time period.

Pompey, Bradford, Luton, Swindon and other bigger clubs had been sucked in for a while.
We didn't achieve it quite comfortably though, it went to the last game and could of missed out

If we finish 3rd and go up nobody cares .. if we finish 3rd and dont go up then its basically the same as any other playoff season apart from the fact weve blown a 13 point lead at the top

Weve been a playoff team twice in this league already

For what its worth i think we will go up
Isn't staying up in 17th same as staying up in 14th then?

I wouldn't sack lampard if we don't go up but hopefully we do ilgo up. A good night's results today really does inch us closer to the finish line. Exciting times

We dont have to have the same definitions of what things are

Truth is i think we will go up

Question though

If you were looking at lets say boro and they had a 13 point lead to 2nd and a 16 point lead to 3rd at one point ,.if they finished 3rd and failed to be promoted .. do you think their fans would want him sacked and would you agree with it

I think their fans would be frustrated and disappointed etc but I as opposing fan would love them to throw the baby out with the bathwater cos it's the wrong thing to do.
