I haven't seen our last couple of results being because of a lack of confidence. More like a weak link between the defence and midfield with mistakes costing us goals.

I attribute the lack of confidence to players resorting to what I’d call their ‘comfort zone’ areas on the pitch. Just strikes me as Grimes is playing deeper than he should, Torp (when playing) is going higher than he should, Rudoni drifting about all over the place.

I think it would make it a satisfactory window.

Not really sold on the Yang signing, and the Dutch bloke is an odd one but we have addressed our biggest concerns at the start of the window.

LB and CB would top it off though

The Yang Min-hyeok signing does seem a bit strange at the moment, but it's early days and you'd assume the club have seen something in him to give him a go.
We're not playing the free flowing attacking football we were at the start of the season, so is he going to have more opportunities here than he did at Portsmouth?

Shockingly poor given we are top but it is what it is

Really? What were you expecting Pete?

We needed depth on the wings to cover Saka and EMC as both were looking jaded and we've brought in 3 wide players which now gives us different options.

And we're seemingly bringing in a Premier League CM to add more depth in the middle of the park and take some of the heat of Grimes.

If/when Onyeka signs, it'll have been a decent window.

If they are thye should read the room and get it done.

Having aid thta, this year they've been shite and announcements. Half the time it doesn't even have a quote from FL so looks like he's not even aware of it :D
You can have the transfer announced as soon as it’s done, or you can have it with all kinds of fancy videos and interviews. Can’t really have both!

If we were going gung ho we’d be much quicker
Do things quicker!!!
So many (and it’s lack of confidence) take too many touches. Obviously not esse lol
Emc Rudoni grimes Dasilva always holding on to the ball seemingly not knowing what they are doing

That said Emc has been the out ball for a long time and expecting him to cause something to happen

Yep, I'd agree with this. And the problem with EMC, is that good player as he undoubtedly is, he's very predictable, imho. Almost always cuts back inside, rarely threatens the full back down the outside. I think that's pretty easy to set up against, especially when we break so slowly.

JDS can cross with his left, but also seems to prefer to fiddle around with it than try to overlap and/or whip it in first time.

It feels like we almost always give the opposition time to set their defence; whereas it's exactly the opposite when teams are coming at us.

Completely
And when we do things quick we give the ball away dangerously because Dasilva and mve are too far up the pitch
So do it quick but don’t have rudi emc and Dasilva all in the left wing position is pisses me off

And all the room in behind, it’s an easy fix, if we’re sticking with that back 4 away then dont play such a high line, teams have worked us out and use the space behind us, most The goals we concede all our defenders are running back,
Which is why Onyeka would be an excellent signing for us. I can't see Lampard changing the way we play much so a big lump in the middle will firm us up.

I'm not expecting miracles from him, but they won't get past him like our other players presently.

it makes you realise just how good teams are that do win leagues . the Pressures relentless, every team just ups their game. its in roy Keanes book I think where he said it used to piss him off when they’d be away and Coventry start playing like Brazil 😂 maybe we’re being a bit harsh on the players, none of them have been in this position before, but thats up to Lampard to fix it and quick, anyway hopefully we’ll bring some help in today

I think the signings we've made are solid (providing we get Onyeka through the door). Bringing in 2.5 wingers and a CM is exactly what we needed.

The problem we're having at the moment is poor tactical decisions and player performance. We have good, quality depth now.

We creep over the line into the play offs only, because away form will continue.

if we win all our remaining home games, and lose all our remaining away games, we’ll finish on 88 points and be automatically promoted

Lampard is the opposite to Robins.

MR would shut up shop so completely after going ahead we'd have no attacking threat at all. FL will not change his attacking instincts no matter what leaving us wide open.

This is a recent thing, early on in the season Lampard wasn't shutting up shop as such but he did make changes to tighten us up in games. I've no idea why he has stopped doing that.

If we can see the problem why can't FL and his staff it's been happening for far to long to not see the problem.

Well thats a bit of a stretch to assume we will win all home

That’s current form though. Also no more unlikely than losing all remaining away games

There was a clear lack of confidence in our play at QPR, not as obvious at Norwich but definitely at QPR. Decision making is the main manifestation of it, players unwilling to take risks with passing, moving the ball slowly, taking too many touches. Limited support for players in posession.
