So much of it is confidence with Simms. It might be fair to say that being benched whilst on the hottest scoring streak in the league, for someone who went 13-14 without a goal, may have dented that a bit.

I think that’s a fair assessment, Eccles seems to have shored up the midfield somewhat. Centre backs look like they’ve been up all night smoking spice and playing on the Nintendo Switch.

problem is I’m not sure it’s needed this game - Eccles shoring up midfield at the expense of creativity, and again we are not using the wingers we have and instead trying to play round in midfield or hoofing the ball up and hoping something sticks

is Rudoni meant to be playing 10? I’m lost as to how the midfield is set up and what they’ve been told to do, Grimes was LCH, Rudoni LW and Eccles 2nd striker a second ago, which is confusing

also as an aside this ref is letting a hell of a lot go, there’s gonna be a dodgy decision for a goal at some point isn’t there
