Can't believe how many people would pick Sakamoto after his recent performances
It would need a built-in flash as it's quite gloomy in those parts.A ring camera I would have thought, is the sort of thing people may be on the look out for on Grindr.
It’s delusional. I like Sakamoto but he is overrated by our fans. Can't believe how many people would pick Sakamoto after his recent performances
Indeed, and I'd suspect those numbers look even worse if based on the last half dozen or so gamesIt’s delusional. I like Sakamoto but he is overrated by our fans.
It’s a bit like Bidwell. Everyone loved him, couldn’t do much wrong, even after performances were declining and then suddenly the penny drops.
The amount of mock depth charts I’ve seen on social media with people having Sakamoto over Esse is laughable. Going into the window it was ‘cover for Sakamoto’ too.
He’s a likeable player and has some good attributes but he doesn’t stand out in any statistical category because he’s just a solid 7/10 player. In my view, he will be a good role player but for where we are, we need better and thankfully have in Esse.
You compare to EMC who is in the top percentiles for:
- 10% for xG
- 5% for shots on target
- 7% for chances created
- 7% successful dribbles
- 2% for touches in opposition
- 3% defensive duels won
Sakamoto:
- 30% for xG
- 30% for shots on target
- 22% for chances created
- 40% successful dribbles
- 29% for touches in opposition
- 25% defensive duels won
- 11% for xA (his best metric by far)
- 22% successful crosses
To clarify, this is comparing both players to the entire leagues AM/wingers and where they rank. Therefore, considering our league position and we’ve created the most chances, most touches in the box and so on… these numbers are not good.
The forecast is freezing so we’ll be handing these out at the gate as a goodwill gesture.A inbred I know says they’re going to get a fist full against us, I told him there’s no way you are scoring 6 . 4-1 home win

Why? He did absolutely nothing on Saturday when in the 10 position. Looked useful wide. It’s more I’d play Esse over Rudi and we’ve only got one RW in that case.
You were missed mate.Thank you… in fairness I only went and fed my fish. … have you hacked my kitchen ring camera![]()
I’m pretty sure Sakamoto’s name is listed more than you’d expect from the question ‘who’d make the step up’. He’s good but o’mon?!Indeed, and I'd suspect those numbers look even worse if based on the last half dozen or so games

Its also hard to believe our form with and without AsanteIt's hard to ignore our form pre & post Rudoni.
There’s a few things to consider:It's hard to ignore our form pre & post Rudoni.
Totally agree with this. Torp is absolutely crucial for the Leicester match. Without him, we're likely just gonna be playing right in front of their defence since nobody’s making those dangerous central runs. If Torp’s fit, I think Lampard will probably play Rudoni at 10; if not, maybe Esse steps in to add some of those vital runs through the middle. There’s a few things to consider:
- Haji’s form
- BTA’s injury
- Torp’s illness
- Strength of schedule
- 4 games in 9 days over Xmas
We’ve had a tough December and believe that the drop was going to happen even with a full strength side.
Esse will play on the wing, Lampard said he only brought of Rudoni on Saturday to ‘protect him’.Totally agree with this. Torp is absolutely crucial for the Leicester match. The only realistic ones are Rushworth, EMC and Rudoni (the last 2 as squad players).I’m pretty sure Sakamoto’s name is listed more than you’d expect from the question ‘who’d make the step up’.
He beats a man better than anyone in the teamCan't believe how many people would pick Sakamoto after his recent performances
Then does what? (since his concussion)He beats a man better than anyone in the team
Demonstrably untrueHe beats a man better than anyone in the team
I think Frank will stick with his favourites where he can. Torp and BTA if fit enough to take part will start their comebacks off the bench. Sakamoto and EMC will be back in and the two new boys will be on the bench. I think Wolf will still stay alongside Kitching.
Although I would start with Simms I think Frank will opt for Haji.
I have a horrible feeling we are going to lose this just because it is Leicester. But confident we then start getting back on track. It's the Cov way.

Surely he starts Simms! Wright is a waste of a shirt
Agreed. He was far better pre his concussion injury than he seems at present. He has had flu as well but isn't yet the same as pre injuryIn defence of Sakamoto, there was a run of games before he got injured where he was in fantastic form, at a time when there was no natural backup for him. After the injury his form fell off at the same time as a lot of other players seemed to have a wobble, and he’s not even the worst example of that. It’s for the best that we have competition for that position now (and most likely a clear upgrade) but he was a big part of why we are where we are.
It always causes me angst that we play with two wingers and a CF in Wright who cant head. When we plays Simms who is better at heading, the wingers cant cross for toffee. Its quite bizarre
We need the old CBS atmosphere back. We as fans cant sit there waiting to score/ win all the time, that phase has gone. We need to be fully up for it, hostile for the away team and fully behind the City. Like every home game is now pretty much a must win.
