No real issue with any message. Tbh I agree with him about fans leaving, especially with this team and their normal resilience (although it never looked likely on Monday).

People can leave whenever they choose , its really that simple .. Doug can ask nicely but fans will ultimately do as they please

Tell that to the fans if Doug King keeps his hands in his pockets. Fans are the best at telling owners what to do 😂

It really isn't. Your season ticket/ match day doesn't even cover the day to day running of the club.

If I knew I could get a pint at HT, or wouldn't have to wait an hour to get a train after the final whistle then I'd be much less inclined to leave early 🤷‍♂️

Whose fault is that? Fans can only buy the tickets on sale. If your business isn’t profitable when selling out of products that’s very much a management skill issue in another other industry.

No. But King would have a bigger headache if we slipped down the leagues than we would.

He'll do what's right for his investment. Not act on awhim because fans left early.

Sure but staying for 5 minutes wont be the reason doug doesnt spend money , as i said , fans have already done whats required of them financially

Sounds like you are advocating higher pricing on tickets?

It was a weird thing to have a go at the fans for. It’s inevitable that with a crowd that size there’s going to be a sizeable number that’ll leave early considering there’s probably a hardcore of 15-20K these days.

I'm not suggesting he won't invest. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of fans who like "their freedom of choice" but also like to tell owners how to spend their money.

Theres no hypocrisy , i leave early because i want to .. its not at all related to how succesful the club is

There is no ticket price that will realistically fund the club's ambitions. It's not our problem.

There still has to be balance between spend and expenditure. Some on here have very short memories.

Well really I’m advocating for lower wages for crappy footballers. Or higher TV money. Or higher ticket prices. Or accepting football isn’t sustainable at this level and stop pretending fans have anything to do with funding. Any will do.

I get what he’s saying but he should of just said nothing. The money the fans have been spending in the etc must have broken records.

The fans are probably the best in the league home and away.

They leave early when they are winning too it wasn’t just because we were loosing it’s just what fans do for different reasons.

I think the pressure is getting to Frank a bit too and they are not thinking clearly.

Have read it again and still think the focus is more on the droves after the second. King isn’t dumb, he knows fans always have and nearly always will leave early regardless - as that’s just what they do 🤷‍♂️

The thread has turned into a mess though, I don’t think there’s any reason someone should be offended by his message. And it’s weird that some on the other side of the fence have decided to push an idea that fans are shit for it.

Raised one or two good points - As far as the ticket exchange is concerned - Ram that one straight up your hoop, Douglas ( and I know you will be reading this 😋)
We (as ST holders don’t expect the world) but you are being somewhat a cheeky chappy with your paltry offer - Our commitment does not match yours.
Oh and when you’re being shalaked by vastly superior opposition for 95% of the game and THEN(!) going 2-0 down is it any surprise that 50% of the stadium should decide to leave a 30,000 attendance when travel infrastructure is on a par with our current defensive/attacking capabilities?

None stranger than celtics. They have won the title 13 times in last 14 years and the fans are currently singing sack the board in a protest outside the stadium 😂😂
