Right so the next league games are:
Charlton (A) - 1st Jan
Birmingham (A) - 4th Jan
Leicester (H) - 17th Jan
Milwall (H) - 20th Jan
Norwich (A) - 26th Jan
QPR (A) - 31st Jan

What would we be happy with points wise and what results do we expect?
For me I’d be happy with around 10-12pts keeping it around 1.8-2.0 pts a game
Results I can see

Despite December being...disappointing...I don't think we need to fear anyone. This team has shown their resilience in the past and I don't think FL will let complacency or negativity creep into the squad.

A couple of additions to help out the squad and we can push on and get a top two place. We don't need to match the first half of the season to achieve that.

A win and a draw at Charlton/Blues will be fine. We tend to focus on our own results, which is undesrtandable but other teams will lose form too, look at Stoke and now Boro. Ipswich won't win every one of their next 22 games.

Relax, it'll all be fine.

We should be looking at 12-15 points from those games

It’s a pretty tough run of games.

JDS, Thomas and BTA comming back in along with one or two additions and resting the first choice regulars for the cup weekend will see us ready to push on for the final months of the season.

The backroom staff need to get to grips with those that are way off their normal form, (Rudoni and Wright for example) so there is work to be done in the mean time.

The Christmas/new year period was always going to be a huge challenge for such a small squad, so there's no suprise weve seen a dip in results.

No need to panic, get through the holiday fixture pile up, then we go again.

Looking at 12 ahead. If we get 21 from them we are on 72 with 10 to go. That will be enough for the final push which on paper looks quite winnable games

so 11 points from the next 6 will keep us well on track

the Middlesbrough and hull games are massive looking forward

Is december really disappointing? we are 10
clear of 3rd

Not really.

We won’t have a run of fixtures as tough as that again this season

Charlton - Win
Birmingham - Draw
Leicester - A sneaky win
Millwall - Draw
Norwich - Draw
QPR - Draw

10 points - only two home games in Jan, so I think 10 or more points would be superb

Leicester is the only one we win - We draw the rest.
Factoring in other teams around us results (which I haven't but you can!) we either stay top by our finger nails or drop to second with an 7-8 pt lead over third place.

I would be very happy with ten points but if our recent form continues we will be lucky to get more than six.

Let us hope that we can strengthen the squad well in January 🤞

8 from the next four games would be a great return, they aren't easy. But i suspect we lose one of the away games, and fail to win one of the home games.

Birmingham haven't been playing well
Leicester blow hot and cold
Millwall at home should be more worried than we are about this fixture
Norwich have only just got going but we rarely do well there
QPR will again be worried about us

We are top of the league and we should be the ones other teams fear.

Yes it would be silly to overlook or to not give any other teams credit but we should be wanting to come out with atleast 12 of the 18 points

The hardest game out of the 6 to me is Leicester, and that depends on the side that turns up. They have the players but are missing just about everything else. Just go along at about 2 ppg and watch the others try to keep up. The pressure is on them. There's nothing there that shouts out 4th defeat of the season.

Hardest yes, but we have a good break between brum and leicester to rest and reset and time for the new signings to settle in. (If we get deals done early)

Same break for everyone.

I don't think anyone will be coming in very quickly if the level of players we're supposed to be inquiring about are correct.
