Two teams other than us are not going to get close to 93 ffs. They’d need to be absolutely smashing it for the last 28 games.

Everyone shitting their pants about Ipswich (11 in 6 or 17 in 10) - they need to be doing miles better than that to get anywhere close.
13 really could be enough then. That's not even half of our remaining games

Ipswich would need to be getting 2.2ppg to get to 91. Can't see that
I agree. I'm just pointing out that if anybody reaches that number it will probably be them.

The autos threshold will start with an 8, I'm convinced of it. I genuinely think it could be 85 so 1.5 ppg for us. We're averaging over 2 over the last 47 years. As I said on another thread, if it doesn't happen I will have to find a new hobby as I just don't think I could take anymore after Dabo, Torp and then not going up this season.

I think those saying 87 could be about right.

I think it's going to be tight for 2nd between Ipswich and Southampton, but both still a good way behind us, get the 2 Ipswich games and the Southampton game out of the way and see where we sit with them both in January

southampton need 2.25 points per game
currently on 1.33 - never in a million years

From what Ive seen and where the teams are in the league, Middlesbrough are our biggest rivals

2 ppg over the last 47 years? That's what you call consistency.

1st Coventry LOST 43pts
------------------------------------
2nd Middlesbrough WON 36pts
_____________________________
Ipswich WON 30 pts
Stoke LOST 30pts
Southampton WON 27 pts

7pt gap to second
9pt gap to 3rd

3/4 won :( Not a nice feeling to have to do a post this week but important to remember our great form means we shouldn't panic and can afford to relax with the odd defeat

Bouncing back is the most important thing because Ipswich and Southampton are starting to turn on the after burners form wise

4 PTS would be good from next 2 but 6 gets us completely on track and back in Dreamland.

Frustrating week, but those chasing will have those sorts of weeks and drop points when we dont.

Ipswich will 100% get second.. not through performance but literally with squad depth.. being able to bring on Clarke etc.. while we are throwing on Allen and Andrews

Yup it's hard to take now but other teams have had alot more of these weekends than we have!

Doesn't stop me worrying about Preston mind you. Although it's prob good we have a game quickly to set things right and beating the deepdale voodoo will have us buzzing with confidence again

This month was always a case of getting through. If we can get 7-9 points its a decent month.

I would say Ipswich will 100% win the league. As you said, they have the squad depth and that will make the difference over 46 games.
Only if they can start to unpick a low block which most teams will use against them.
We will always be susceptible to defeats where teams defend and have quality, very quick attackers.

We are rarely up the top and it is wierd because the only place you can go is down. We, the fans, are constantly looking at other teams and wondering whether they will catch us, the answer is no. We must only concentrate on ourselves then we will win the league. If you say, by the law of averages we lose another 5 that would mean Ipswich cannot lose again, but they will. Sheff Utd are starting to win but they would have to win all their games and we at the top would have to lose 8 or 9 games, it's not going to happen, unless they can sneak the play-offs. We are the masters of our own ship and destiny is in our hands.

What's crucial now is how we bounce back - predictable but true - it was 1 defeat yesterday & we created chances - have faith all 💪

Yeah, this. This is the first weekend we've had it not really go our way to be honest...(since we've been top). Even after the match against Hollywood FC, I'm pretty sure Boro who were 2nd at the time lost.

Last 6 form table, wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the top 6 at the end of the season

Crucially even with the Ipswich loss, we are still joint top so nobody has gained on us over that period

Just need to keep focusing on ourselves

I don't think they will, they drop too many points. Pretty sure their fans would've trade 6 points v Oxford and Blackburn rather than the satisfaction of beating us handily.

If we beat PNE and Bristol, we probably extend our lead at the top of the table and we have a date in December to put the loss v Ipswich to rights.

Idk about all you, I really want this year to be the season we win at Deepdale, probably more than Ipswich or Southampton away.
