Simms very good today i thought , held up well for torp crossbar and good to see him score
Hes been good all season in the minutes he's had.

Doesn't Simms have the best Goals per min ratio of any of our players?

Thought he was so unlucky to be dropped after his Immense performance at Portsmouth.

His head hasn't dropped and his body language is so much better.

2nd half he was kicking off at the linesman over a throw in desicion.
Most un Simms like! Good to see that from him.

This is a real conundrum. Presuming BTA starts on Tuesday as does Simms. What would be our attacking option if we needed to bring someone off the bench?
Don’t think both start on Tuesday. I’d play Simms with the mission of trying to hold the ball up and occupy the centre halves. Bring BTA on last 20.

Best xG+ xA per 90 in the league and he’s outperforming it by 0.3G/A per 90. It’s all well and good saying he only scores tap ins, but by this measure he scores or assists once every 67 minutes so far this season. Paddy Bamford and Keifer Moore combined couldn’t do that.

The issue with Simms is his usual gaff or two overshadow everything else, especially if you’re looking for reasons to criticise him.

He held the ball up well yesterday and his off the ball movement is always good. His performance and goal have hopefully given him a confidence boost too.

Be amazing to see him continue to pick up form and find the same performances we saw in his first season here.

Despite the occasional donkey touch, he’s a good player with all the right attributes. This run in the team will be his resurgence.

Simms has been good this season and Wright’s injury is an opportunity for him to stake a claim for a starting berth. Played quality v Pompey, got an assist v Stoke and got a goal yesterday.

Away to Boro, he should start.

As a minimum we’ve got sakamoto, Rudoni, BTA, Simms, Mason Clark in and around the starting line up (presume wrights not available), most clubs in this league would give their right arm for that. All won’t start. Depending on recovery, wouldn’t be surprised to see Rudoni and BTA start on bench again

It is an incredible stat that it’s Simms first league goal at the CBS for 13 months
