We need to stop hating on players who helped us get promoted.

O hare stuff was funny but also sad. He helped get us into this league and then stay in it for crying out loud

McCallum yeah fair play didn't celebrate it
I hear you and i think your right. But i have this hate for everyone who plays against us on the pitch. It cant be helped.

I do find it satisfying how so many, whilst helping us with our rise, thought they were bigger and better than us.
Is that O'Hare?

I thought he wanted to be on a par with top earners, or to be the top earner, but the club didn't think he warranted that. I got the impression he'd have stayed if we'd have paid him what he felt he was worth.

I'm with the club, btw; I liked (and still like) O'Hare, but I wouldn't break the bank for him.

I imagine what he was asking for was outside of the wage structure at the time and we hard balled on breaking that.

The rumour on here at the time, from a once ITK, was there was a contract offer, but King Withdrew it after O'Hare had a bust up with Robins after being subbed, I think at the Hawthorns.

Tbh I never thought he was particularly great when at us. Thought he was a good athlete and worked really hard, but lacked the technical skills and passing ability required. But he was really good tonight and their best player.
I mean, he was 18 and we were his first proper club! What were you expecting? Prime Roberto Carlos?

Always struck me as a ridiculous story tbh. I would hope that’s not how King conducts his business.

I find the non celebrations really ridiculous especially if it’s a former loan player. If I was O’Hare last night and I had scored I would have gone wild, fortunately we didn’t have to see it as it was a typical game from him a lot of bluster but little final product.
McCallum was a permanent player first here and then a loan player, loaned back when we sold him to Norwich. He probably feels a debt of gratitude to a club that picked him up from Level 7 of the pyramid.

I thought McCallum had the look of a player that would eventually play centre half.

Good defender, decent physically and seemed to be able to read the game pretty well.

Surprised he's not played there at all really as far as I'm aware.

He played left sided centre back for us in a three once or twice
