People were up in arms on here when Wrexham signed Doyle from right under our nose, he hasn’t been very good since his year with us.

Football can be harsh. He looked liked he would progress to Man City first team potential England quality when with us. They could see he had hit his ceiling and off loaded him within a couple of years.

Our system that year massively played to his strengths. Looks more likely to end up in league 1 currently.

And if you didnt think you could laugh at blues any more than you already do..... Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders writer) has been bought in to help design "the Wembley of the midlands"!

This is going to end badly for Blues. They’re paying 11% interest on the loans the owners give to their club.

Imagine financing a 60k seater stadium in the championship?

Delusional.

Boro are shit! Heard it here first! Imagine being a serious contender for autos, and being backs against the wall v Wednesday for the last 35 mins!

I don't think the injury he picked up at Leicester did him any favours either.

He was good but never once did I think he would progress to Man City potential.

I’m not too concerned about other teams atm. There’s still a long way to go and teams will come in and out of form.

If we can build a gap between ourselves and the rest of the pack, great. Hopefully that’ll give us an injection of cash to strengthen in Jan to keep us at that automatic form.

A home game against a bland WBA team is a different proposition to an away game against Franks juggernauts. Watford will be bricking it.

And back-to-back, 9 point 3 game weeks is a phenomenal effort by anyone's standards.

I have a feeling we’ll draw v Watford or Wrexham.

When you’re in the form we’re in, it feels like no one can stop us but the Championship can humble teams. Looking at the fixtures I fancy getting 10 points between now and the international break which would be an exceptional effort.

Jed Wallace was on the NTT20 podcast and said ‘when you’re winning in the championship, every game feels winnable but when your form is poor, you struggle to see where your next win is coming’. That’s a good summary of this league.

We’re riding high and if we’re top after 20 games, I’ll truly believe automatics is 100% on. V few teams drop off that much after 20 games.

I wish Boro would start dropping points.

I think we're head and shoulders above everyone else at the moment but there will inevitably be a sticky patch and I want a cushion at the top when it happens.

If we manage 2 ppg in the next 9 that'll take us to 43, which would be tracking above the 93 point rough target for automatics

If we get to 40 points in the next 9 games, it more or less mean we’ll make the playoffs barring a complete capitulation.

That’s the first goal, judging by our start and relatively weaker starts from preseason favourites, you’d have to back us to make automatics.

My big worry is squad depth right now but that’s counterbalanced because I think King will seize on the opportunity to finish the job this season if we’re top 2. You can’t pass on this opportunity.

Middlesbrough only got 6 points with 1 win 3 draws last month. That's why we cruised past them after being points behind them. They must be saying that they wished we would start dropping points 😂

Middlesbrough have been picking up the points but have been lucky at times. If anything we have been unlucky other than Leicester where we were just lucky they're shite up front. We're last seasons Leeds who were a level above everyone else. Like with Leeds there will be the occasional unexpected result. That's Championship football for you.

But after just 11 games we have 25% more points than Millwall in 3rd. We have the same GD as the sides in 2nd to 8th combined. Nobody looks forward to playing us anymore. Last season Leeds had Burnley push them all the way. I'm happy for Middlesbrough to continue to push us. It would help keep the players focused instead of just pulling away then taking the foot off the gas. And I'd happily take 2nd now if given the choice although we have a very solid chance of going up as Championship champions 🏆

Boro are over performing their current position and that generally levels out as the season carries on.

It’s still early doors but I still think Ipswich, Southampton, Sheff U and Leicester all make the playoffs. The former 2 will make it, Leicester probably will but depend on Jan as well as the impending points deduction. Sheff U, I can’t work out, perhaps they and Wilder are truly a spent force.

Other than when Lampard uses the squad depth to remind King we have a January window coming up our squad depth is much better than many make out. We've had Woolfenden and KKH warming up the bench for most of the season. We've lost players like Rudoni and EMC to injuries yet continue to steamroll our opponents. We may be a couple of players short but the quality we have waiting to get a game would get into most sides 1st 11.

We went for quality over quantity. We got rid of the players that wouldn't have got much game time and got good money for 2 of them. The players we brought in we got for a good price. We have space for a couple of players in our squad so can keep every player we already have. We easily have the best 1st 11 and strongest squad.

I pointed out before the season started how weak Sheffield United looked. Had them as about mid table. Sold their best players and replaced them with loans with only League 1 experience.

Again with Southampton it was their manager who didn't have the experience needed. Until they get rid of Will Still they will struggle. We spoke about it in here quite a lot before the season started.

Leicester? Their best game so far was against us but that's what happens away to a local rival. They're quite poor to what they should be. Dodgy in defence and no decent striker. I wouldn't be surprised if they fell further away from the playoff places. They have Millwall away on Saturday and can't see them winning it.
