Surprised it’s not been sang without the cbs backing track.

away days etc

The only time I've heard it away was a friendly game against SV Darmstadt

Sure it will catch on eventually thou...PUSB

What doesn't help the song is the long musical intro - during which most start clapping. Lasts quite a while. Unless you dive straight in with 'You spend your time...' It's just an awkward intro into a mass chant song, without the music imo .

Wouldn’t work. Singers corner (who make up a significant chunk of away fans) have an appalling understanding of tempo. They sing every song as though it’s a race.

Without the soundtrack it would just be tangled up mess

One or two renditions away from home last season and it was brilliant.

There's a lot of good songs our home and away support haven't been singing this year. Many of the older songs aren't getting much of a run out.

The recent butchering of That's the Way confirms that.

tbf this is just football fans now. It's like everyone's scared of singing they just want it over with. Does my head in! Even down to just two shouts of 'CITY!' at the end of PUSB #shfwf
More annoyingly it sometimes doesn't even finish and dies down to a few murmurs after 'anyone'

I've already convinced my lad that it HAS to be THREE renditions of 'City!' at the end.
And not to stop just because everybody around you does.

Well try and get them going then.

I think we're just missing a few of the good ones that we had for players like Hamer, Vik & O'Hare. The only ones we have that really get everyone going are for EMC and Thomas.

We tried at Leicester but people clearly just want to sing about them or the modern songs.
Cool story but anyway shocking if people wanted to sign about a team who are our rivals now matter what anyone says during the game against them.

Sing them Saturday, see if they catch on. Be nice to see the south stand start a song for once.

Nice one.
I'm serious, people whinge about songs all the time and yet they can simply try and get other or new songs going but they don't. When people wait for a few people at the back of 14 and 15 to start every song is it any wonder the songs are the same?

All fine and good until you're singing on your own.

Majority wait to hear from a teenager on a drum unfortunately.

That's the risk you take. You can't whinge unless you try and get other songs going.

Try signing them in the pub before the game, try singing them on the coach to the game but if you don't try then don't say "why don't we sing this song".

Yep, have done plenty of times, as mentioned before.

Cool story

Also I am not just talking about you. For example you have loads of people who whinge about the Sakamoto song but don't try and get anything else going.

Best chant I've heard this season is St Johnstone to the tune of Dancing Queen. Sounds horrific I know. We could adapt it...
