Just seen Wednesdays second goal. Pompey player pulls up injured when clearly getting the ball and the Wednesday player picks it up and scores.
I dont think it was very sportsmanlike at all.

But many on here would be raging if it was our player and he passed up the chance to score. Think how many times players fake injuries to stop certain goals or attacks

Yeah I mean we came very close to doing this against Norwich in the first half before they had scored and started time wasting one their went down injured in his own box keeping everyone onside leading to a good chance for us

It's terrible really if they make them replay the game 11 Vs 11 from the start. Damages the integrity of the competition. Imagine Ipswich win and Blackburn go down by less than 3 points. Or what if Ipswich beat us to promotion by 3 points. That late in the game it should stand (always used to, but doesn't seem to be the case anymore).
I’m not sure it did. We were beating Ipswich 1-0 away in the 70s when the floodlights failed. The match was replayed and we lost. A couple of years earlier than that we were 2-0 down to Sheffield Utd well into the second half. The game was abandoned due to a water logged pitch. The match was replayed and we won 3-2. I’m not sure there has ever been a case of the result standing or a replay from the minute it stopped.
The worst abandonment I can remember was Norwich beating Chelsea in a League Cup semi final second leg. Norwich were winning, 4 minutes away from what would be their first Wembley final I think and the game was abandoned due to fog. They were already ahead from the first leg and won the replayed game but to be that close and to have it taken away must have been hard.

Bristol C scored..crap. 2-1..Good goal though. hope Oxford hold on. Wonder why we dont't take shots like that (maybe our players, outside of Torp, don't have the ability). We seem to always want to pass the ball into the net.

3-1! Great result

Just 2pts off the auto places!

And hull and Oxford showing our draws not been terrible results Vs shite teams. But fact we dominated both shows big picture we are a damn good team in this league
Only us and Boro unbeaten now right? Shows that's a decent achievement even after only 6 games in this league. It's a complete slog and all games are tough.

I can’t think of a single game ever where a result has stood?

In a good season you'd still expect to lose 10-15 games. Important that all people, especially yours truly, keep that in mind when games don't go our way.

Actually there was the infamous Battle of Bramnel Lane and thats the only time it has happened

Blackpool v Huddersfield. Granted the score was 0-0 at the time but there was never a replay of it.

Fair enough but it was the last game and Blackpool had a huge fine to pay

I know it's a different league but last month in the National League, Eastleigh vs Scunthorpe was abandoned in the 94th minute due to a serious injury, with the score level at 1-1.

The National League have ordered the game to be replayed, even though it was in the 94th minute.

Weirdly, Scunthorpes next match, this time at home vs Wealdstone, was also abandoned after an injury to a Wealdstone player. This one doesn't have to be replayed I think.

Just watching Millwall v Watford! Quite honestly say that Watford are shite! They do not have a plan in their play what so ever. Millwall just humping it up to there big guys up front for them to hold it, but both front men trap a ball as far as Simms 🤣

Watford have the best scouting department in the world for finding useless foreign managers and players no one has ever fucking heard off.

I’m pleased that we remain unbeaten and have enjoyed our best start to a season for a few years. It’s good to see us playing attractive football and scoring a few goals.

Am I being too optimistic though, when you consider that we are (a) already five points adrift of Middlesbrough and (b) only ahead of Millwall on goal difference.

The next game against Brum is surely a “must win” 😆

Obviously quite far down the pyramid but the NL South match between Weymouth and Yeovil in 23/24 was abandoned after a medical emergency in the crowd on 75 mins. The result stood (1-0 Weymouth).

So it should have - the crowd's fuck all to do with the action on the pitch

Not worried at all.

Too many people look at the table from last season and compare the results from last season. Hull was seen as a bad result by many but they're looking like a top half club. Who would have guessed playing Sheffield United meant 3 points? 1 goal in 6 games. I had them as 8th to 12th because of the manager and poor signings but I was still a long way off. Those who have played a Sheffield side have had an advantage.

Middlesbrough won't keep getting the results. You can't compare us at an early stage with a side with 5 wins and a draw. We've just played what could well be one of our hardest games of the season. Away to the only relegated side doing anything good and we came away with a point.

We're also playing great attacking football. Just 1 more goal in any of the drawn games would have had us in 2nd and only 4 points behind Middlesbrough. I'm sticking with my pre season prediction of 2nd to 4th although Ipswich who i thought would win it just can't get going. I know it will come down to luck with injuries but that's the same for every other side.

Hope you’re right, but wish we’d had a few confirmed signings through the door before letting Sheaf and Rapha go. Then again I know Sheaf’s been very injury prone of late and we probably couldn’t have received any more reasonable offers for him.
