No one's going to have any initial reaction to the story other than disgust. If you dump a story in a thread without any of your own thoughts on it, you're leaving people to fill in the gaps re: why you've posted it. People asking questions shows they're interested in your POV and interested in talking about it.
if folks want to have a debate about how the situation with migrants and asylum should be dealt with - which makes sense as it's a total sh*tshow atm - it's not a wild take to ask why it needs to happen in a thread about a kid's life being ruined, or to ask what point a particular story makes as part of that debate.

I read it twice to check I wasn't missing something and I searched for 'asylum' in the article. I wanted to get my head around why you posted it and why you posted it where you did. It really isn't hard to work out why it was put in this thread. When your first thought is to try to imply that it's racist, then you probably will struggle.

I hear what you're saying, and it makes sense. I think I get cynical about what's posted on here when I read similar horrific stories locally and nationally that don't seem to get a mention on here. I get why there's a hyper focus on stories like this one but it's hard to get what you want from sharing them if you don't say anything when you post it.

Have already posted the prison / crime stats for nationalities like Somalia and Sudan, it upset people so they tried to skew the stats by completely missing the context of the point.
Yes, there are wronguns born here. Yes, there might be some wronguns born in Finland, Switzerland or Germany who live here. However, the stats show that the nationalities which are seemingly coming across and entering the country are massively more likely to go to prison.
To randomly house people in communities who are completely unvetted and let them wander about as they please is mental.
