Wrexham is perhaps an 'exciting' move as they have some money and celebrity owners, but it is an embarrassing one for a player who thinks and has been told that he is better than us. If it was Southampton or something then maybe there would an argument, but don't let the Disney delusions fool otherwise.

I don't think they'll get relegated or promoted, but it is a step down from us and the way our club is at the moment.
I would be surprised if his new salary is not a good step up on what he earned here. Though from the POV of a professional it is a step down.

Tbh mate you said sheaf was signing a new deal then he’s leaving a few days later. Also anybody could have guessed he’d be signing lol, it’s a low risk gamble
To be fair, Sheaf is signing a new deal. Just not with us :ROFLMAO: If he did sign and extension, wouldn't that put his value up anyway?

Woolfenden is an excellent signing. Gutted to see him leave, but with O’Shea getting the captaincy he was going to struggle to get minutes and it’s hard to keep backup CBs happy.

He reads the game very well and his progressive passing is great so I can see why Lampard likes him. Negatives are that he’s not very vocal for a defender and can occasionally get done for pace.

No idea on the fee but I imagine you’ll get a good deal given that he’s asked to leave and we won’t play hardball and stand in his way. Market value is probably 5m but I reckon it’ll be around 3m with some add-ons. That’s just guess work not insider information though.

The move is understandable in the circumstances but it’s a sale that could age badly for us!
